So have they led the way for most of the departures in one episode?
Looks like the new EP is wasting no time.

Pretty sure they'll get Julia's Theme.
I dont think they have been in the show long enough to get one

Really hope Sonia doesn't return but I'm getting my hopes up, there's no chance of that since its temporary.

Just hope there's no rush in her coming back. Would prefer if she just stayed gone.

Amira got it in 2010 when she found out Syed was gay and left in a taxi. She was only around for a year (though she was brought back in 2011).

The Cokers have really blossomed since Paul's death.

I liked them even before that but yes, since Paul's death they've been next level brilliant. They remind me a bit of Shabnam last year: just came in fairly quietly, a bit prickly at times and then BAM, suddenly all the feels.

Only one of the most moving scenes of the year, no biggie.

0/10 Episode
10/10 MyLauren
0/10 MyCindy

Someone needs to shut Linda up. She just goes on... and on... and on... and on.

Les was right moody tonight, the bin situation must have really gotten to him.

Horrible Sonia creating a nuisance with the excessive horn use. Give her an ASBO.

Go ahead MyLauren my love, just cut McBeales brakes, give her a gentle push into the road, and let nature take its course.

I did when they found out Paul was dead. Such a realistic depiction of grief that lasted beyond two episodes.

I did too, it's lovely to have an older couple on the Square who are still in love with each other, but they have been excellent since Paul's murder. Very much like Shabnam yes, she was AMAZING in the stillbirth story, sad she left too.

What can I say - that was a fantastic episode. Character led, and echoing what has been said in the thread - back to basics. If this is the SOC regime (we'll speak about the cuts another time), then I think we're in for the show being top dog.

Linda and Les was lovely - she's a lovely caring lady, and perhaps one of the best people outside of Pam and Claudette he could talk to. Pam and Claudette was very touching too - you have to realise their world has collapsed and grief brings out a range of emotions. The return of Ruth Lan...sorry Christine with the phone was so touching and so sad. Why are they being axed. We need an old couple on the show.

It was nice to see Ryan for five minutes, though I do wonder is the second episode he is contracted in their wedding? Looking well hot with his haircut. I can see Linda's viewpoint re: Lee and Whitney in Wakefield, but that's Mums for you. Mick was hilarious with his responses I like Stacey and Martin.

Sonia's exit - she did the right thing waiting for Bex before leaving. A sweet mother and daughter moment, even Tina speaking to her was a good gesture. ManBun was sweet at the end with her.

Lauren and Jayne had a lovely scene too - I imagine for Lauren it's hard looking after her and the baby and she even said to Whitney she wishes she could make it work, but is grateful. I do think it's out of order that all those people in the house and the carers haven't took Jayne out at all.

Keep it up!! 10/10

Really enjoyed that episode actually.

The scenes with Les and Pam were the highlight once again, wish they could stay and offer lots more to the show Really liked the interlocking scenes with Pam/Claudette and Les/Linda too.

Ryan's brief return was once again little more than a plot device but it gave Martin and Stacey a bit of screentime which made me happy and I thought the argument with the Carters over Lee and Whitney wanting to go to Wakefield was quite good because it pitted Mick and Linda against each other expressing the opposing views. I know hes not very popular on here but I will miss Lee too and part of me thinks Whitney could be a surprise exit.

McBeale being treated to a lovely makeover and a wheel around the square when she should be spending her days in the company of four lonely walls.

It was an uneventful episode, but it really held my interest.

I really like Pam and Les, don't want them to go, mind you I don't want Ronnie, Roxy, Babe or Claudatte to go either.

There was Ryan...there goes Ryan, in one episode!

Bye Bye Sonia, off to Kettering, not far from me and they can't even say 'Kettering' right.

The whole Wakefield plot was a bit out there. Whitney and Lee made a life changing decision and then changed back within the space of an episode

Another really good episode.

I didn't know Ryan was back tonight so that was a nice surprise.

Mick and Linda each made good points for and against moving away. Linda needs to back off now and stop being so controlling.

Shakil really is a lovely lad and he and Bex make a good couple.

Sonia gone for now....can't say I'm bothered.

Jane needs to stop whining. She didn't give a thought to Max being locked up for a year...it would have been 20 if she'd had her way.

Les/Christine was the star of the show.

Thanks attitude for the thread. Yes what a shame the Cokers are leaving! It was a bit of an odd episode consisting of soon to depart characters from Lee to Claudette to Les/Pam to Linda and Sonia.

Edit - a page has gone
