EastEnders- Pam and Les

I'm definitely going to miss these two and I wish they weren't going. Originally I was indifferent towards them and just a few months back I probably wouldnt have been too bothereed about them leaving. But now they have been given the screentime and this powerful material, Roger and Lin have been outstanding and I have really begun to like and enjoy scenes with these two, its nice having an older married couple on the show and they do have an interesting dynamic, with Chrstine and all.

I really wish they hadnt been axed as I think they still have potential.

Big Shame that they're off

It's almost criminal that they have been axed and Shakil is staying! Apparently a stupid boy that throws food at a girl in a public cafe because he likes her is more gripping television than the powerful performances that Roger and Lin have been giving! Not to mention the interesting dynamic they have with Christine, plus older couples are seriously lacking.

They have been some of the best characters in recent months, it's a shame they are going.

I wasn't amused that this was SOC's first announcement. Easy targets but definitely the wrong ones

I'm so upset about them going. Such a huge waste.

Agree, I think this was a poor decision.

They have been quite depressing of late...... But it's understandable

They have nothing left on the square now really except bad memories so I think I can understand even though I like them.

Totally agree, not to mention that the annoying Carmel is still around

I can understand how story wise they want to move away from the place that has given them some truly awful memories and experienced and I am glad that it looks like they are getting a nice exit with a fresh start but I'd rather have seen them stay and try and rebuild a life in Walford. More of the Christine story to be told and I would have liked to eventually see Les being able to be open about Christine and also the story with Paul's mum which vanished into thin air.

It's almost a shame they didn't get a spin off.

The (mis) adventures of Christine Coker

They'd never do it for fear that Kalfie's show would be overshadowed

I am sure Shakil is not going to last - he will probably be axed once his contract is up.

I always said that give decent material Roger would prove just how bloody good he can be.

I was proved right.

As for them being axed it is yet another shortsighted decision by TPTB - no doubt a few more 'hunks' and 'babes' will be brought in to replace them.

Perhaps it's just me but I enjoy genuine drama rather than shitty teen romances.

Never mind.

Good luck to them both (although Roger will never be out of work).
