There was never any mention onscreen of Janine and Ryan divorcing, however Janine and Ryan split up due to his affair with Stacey in 2010 Janine did not marry Michael until 2012. It can be assumed sometime in that two year period their divorce took place. Either that or Janine had her marriage to Ryan dissolved due to him being missing and presumed dead from 2011. It wasn't until this year when he handed himself in to the police that the authorities became aware that he was still alive.

Janine did mention that she was divorcing him when she inherited her millions...she warned him not to try and claim any of the money.

I didn't like Ryan when he came back earlier this year but he was decent tonight. If there's more to come, I wonder what that involves? Maybe he's somehow part of Lee's mysterious exit.

As others have said I think Lee is leaving in November. Linda leaves on her break just before Xmas and I think Lee will leave before her which is what will also trigger Linda's exit.

Its been rumoured on Walford Web that

The wedding was filmed weeks ago and Danny Boy and Kellie are both still filming but as EE film out of sync so much now it doesn't really give anything away plus it was filmed on location. So its still possible Lee's exit is around the wedding in early November. Guess we will know soon enough. I still think this depression story is going to have a tragic end to it and if Lee dies it would explain Linda leaving for a while due to grief. On top of that I think a soap touching on male suicide is long overdue.

I do not see the point of these brief returns.
