Apple patent paper bag (no joke)
Apple have applied for a patent for a paper bag. This is a highly innovative idea that no one has come up with before. I'm sure it won't be long before some copy cat tries to steal the idea and Apple will sue them!

"Bags are often used for containing items. For example, retail bags may be used to contain items purchased at a retail store."
Wow today has been educational!

From the Guardian article: Quote:
Recycled paper bags are not an innovation, of course. The innovation, in this case, is how Apple intends to hold the bag together with such a high proportion of recycled material.
Oh, how wonderfully green Apple are... except they're not going to make up for all the electronic waste their products create through having non-replaceable batteries.

Will it be water resistant and able to protect you from lightening? Do you press the home button when you finish shopping.

I'm sure Samsung are rushing through their own Note bag getting it to market first.
The user will end up arrested for suspected terrorism when their bag explodes 😂 |

Interesting. Is the patent definitely for 'paper bag'? Its definitely not for anything specific about the bag that may be original, and patentable?

Maybe you should go read the link to the patent?

Ah, so the patent application is for specific things then, rather than a paper bag generally. Thought it might be.

Just make the damn thing.... |

If it's different enough in design, with new formula for manufacturing the paper and the design to hold it open so it isn't flimsy. Why not?
I, many, many, years ago worked for a box manufacturer that held the patent for the design of a cardboard box base. The type used in take away chicken boxes, for example Technically a crash lock base. It was worth a lot of money - expired now, though. |

Specifically its for a paper bag perhaps not unlike one you may find in Primark.
https://www.primark.com/en/our-ethic...ations/eco-bag Difficult to say from that link - did you mean to post one with more detail about the similarities between that Primark bag, and the stuff detailed in Apple's patent application? |

Yes, the replacement rate of iphones is probably faster than average battery life.

And how is the replacement rate of iPhones compared to the replacement rate of other top end smartphones with replaceable batteries?
![]() On average. Plus or minus the square root of the viscosity of rice pudding. |

Whenever somebody mentions Apple, I hope they keep ripping people off and don't eat their pips.
