I want Laura to be given a fair go too. I think she's made of pretty strong stuff though and will ignore the rubbish and concentrate on her "journey" 
I wonder if Aliona feels the same?
The only female I can see winning is Claudia at this stage, I think the men are quite strong this year (on paper at least).
However no one has danced yet, so I don't have a favourite yet. Bring on Friday and Saturday.

His jive was unfairly good and as a result people voted for Jay even though they didn't really want to - it's the biggest scandal since Craig Kelly blackmailed the judges into sending him to Blackpool.

Laura seems nice and I think is savvy enough to ignore the tabloid rubbish and carve her own path, but I somehow doubt she'll win. I see a quarter final/semi-final exit perhaps. I agree that Claudia has the best chance amongst the women. But then - I've not seen any of them dance yet!!
I wonder if Aliona's support of Laura and Gio could be because I suspect he was one of the few pros she was on speaking terms with by the end of it!
I had put Laura and Giovanni among my 4 choices for Finalists, but I also think Daisy, Ore, Robbie, Claudia, Louise, Danny, Will, Anastacia, and maybe even Greg, Melvin and Tameka have a chance.
IMO it looks like the strongest field of celebs ever ( by some distance). There should be a lot of happy pros this year, though a lot of good dancers are not going to get to the final.
