I watched her presenting and hosting the 'I'm a Celbrity' aftershow and that's how she came across to me, very professional and disciplined . I saw a different side to her with Giovanni, more giggly and girly . Maybe Gio has this effect on women .
Still I think they'll go far in the competition unless there's an almighty backlash against Gio which may affect their votes .

Morning Ochre, I think you're absolutely right. It's easy to become so immersed over here and forget that we really represent a very very small part of the viewing population. I think Aggs' mate is the norm - not us!! (No offence anyone )

Totally agree Ochre if I wasn't on DS I would have no idea Georgia and Giovanni were an item

It's even more worth avoiding today with the endless speculation about Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie < very big yawny face >. They even had the cheek to report on viewers' complaints about the coverage of their split on This Morning ... I don't think the DM does irony.

A great deal of their stories are clearly picked up from peoples' social media accounts which is why, I think, anyone with any sense would either keep one account purely for the DM to salivate over and one account for friends and family!

Me neither, Huph. And I have friends watch SCD every year, but if asked, wouldn't even know who G & G are, unless someone reminded them, let alone know - or even care - whether they were ever an item.

I think that is especially true because there were some people last year who found them very bland as a dance partnership and therefore that made them more forgettable. I seem to remember some lively discussions along those lines anyway

I enjoyed their dancing, especially when they settled down and realised gimmicks and lifts were going to get them nowhere and did some nice routines. But I still couldn't tell you what Georgia did/does career wise..... simply not interested.

I can remember Giovanni getting his ear chewed off by Len for doing something "illegal" (in the dance sense obvs), I can remember their jive which I liked and, unfortunately, I remember the bonkers VT of a "doctor" diagnosing Georgia with a life threatening cold and that's about it!

Nobody actually said she was like Abbey - perhaps they mean similarities in their progression dance-wise?

Either way, it the men's year this year with either Ore, Danny or Will taking it.

With apologies to Delta Blue, who is probably still in therapy, the only dance my mate could remember was 'oh, they were the ones with the dancing teapot and candlestick'.

I can't begin to tell you how relieved I was to hear that Sinitta had nothing to do with the break up 🤔

I thought this was a thread about Laura and Gio, not Georgia and Gio
Though as a point of accuracy it was pharyngitis not a life threatening cold - I've a feeling we've had this discussion before.

It was the FIRST item on the radio news at 5 pm on Tuesday! (And I mean Radio 2, not some tacky Kiss FM shouty kind of station - classy bird, me).

Sorry Nina I'm just a bit of an old fashioned kinda gal and tend to visit the doctor in the surgery without a camera crew witnessing the consultation.

In fairness to Georgia, she's not the first to jump up and down enthusiastically at the opportunity to milk an illness for all its worth. Dear old Bill Turnbull on the other hand ... his feet were almost falling off and he kept saying with gritted teeth "no, no, I'm fine, don't make a fuss"

In fairness if I were to disagree with that it may make me a bit of a hypocrite!

I too am glad she clarified that, but I was very surprised to hear she hadn't spoken with him about it - I would've thought she would be one of the first people he'd call

In fairness though I think it will have been demanded by Georgia, more the ideas of the producers!

And, putting myself in her position - If I was on the programme and had become ill during the week (so much so that I only had two days of training) I'd want to make damn sure people knew the reason why my dancing level had gone down from the usual level. Not that it particularly did in Georgia's case, granted the technique of the Cha Cha wasn't all there, but the VW was exquisite, I thought.

Can you take that dying, flogged horse with you next time you go?
