Odd how no one mentions Gillian Taylforth. Yet she was Anton's earliest boot.

Some of the people being mentioned in this thread are just normal level beginner dancers that you see at a dance school each week. John Sargeant, mentioned by the OP and some others, was actually quite a nice ballroom dancer (not so much latin), well above the standard of many beginners.
Quentin Wilson is the celeb I always remember as being extremely bad in a funny way, but maybe that is all heightened by the fact that he was partnered with probably one of the best ballroom dancers the UK has ever produced. |

I'd tend to associate the worst, with those with the worst attitude.
Gary Rhodes and Dom Littlewood come to mind. Thinking you are better than you are is a bad thing, but sometimes they believe what their pro tells them to get to that position (not meaning Gary or Dom - I think Karen and Lilia politely let them know the truth). |

Not sure if he was one of the worst dancers but I can't forgive Greg Wallace for telling Aliona he'd split his shorts and he wasn't wearing anything underneath Grrrooossss. Poor Aliona.

I totally agree with this. Although I agreed upthread that Fiona Phillips was a pretty awful dancer, she was, IMO, a good egg and did her absolute best.

Craig 'sack of potatoes' Kelly and Gary Rhodes were the worst I've seen.

Even if that was true, she shouldn't have to. And I'm not so sure she could, she was clearly embarrassed, and who wouldn't be?
True! I think the point of the unusual first training session was to establish the order of things. Aliona wouldn't be taking any. I think Gregg understood that. |

How has dear old Gloria Hunniford escaped without mention so far.?
I'll never forget that classic rumba performed by Glo & Darren Bennett in which she basically walked around pointing at things! And what about the shocker that was Peter Shilton...that Charleston??!! ![]() ![]()

![]() http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00vlng9 Here's a happy reminder. Have my eyes gone funny or do they look like those seaside pictures when your put your face through a hole and pretend to be a Victorian couple dressed extremely inappropriately for a quick dip? |

"Unfortunately", it appears all copies of the Charleston have been erased from existence - here, however, is the 'Shilton Salsa' which was almost as bad... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0kL3N_rrva4 Quote:
