EE: Ross Kemp reveals he may return to Eastenders again..
Ross Kemp has revealed this morning on Good Morning Britain that he may return to Eastenders again in the future:
http://www.mirror.co.uk/tv/tv-news/e...eveals-8881742 Sorry for yet another thread about Ross Kemp and Grant Mitchell Just I would love him to go back to Eastenders. Sadly the only snag with this is it sounds like he would like to mix both the documentaries with Eastenders together (if he can) so if he does return it may only be for short stints like the last one, but if SOC can persuade Ross to go back every couple of months for short stints that would be brilliant. Of course one day Ross may slow down making the documentaries which could lead to a longer stint, but as a fan of Grant I wouldn't mind just seeing him make stints every now and then. I guess the challenge doing this would be how would this be explained on screen? Perhaps Grant could move back to London and live with Aunt Sal or perhaps he moves back with Courtney so she can finish her studies. A return for Grant could also (possibly) pave the way forward for a return for Courtney as well which would also be brilliant. |

He's got to be the most overrated character ever, no offence to Ross but it wouldn't bother me if we never saw Grant again.

I'd rather see Courtney again as a regular character instead of Grant, to be frank. There is so much potential in Courtney and she pulled in some decent performances and we need exciting new younger characters. I disliked the Grant/Mark storyline but I wouldn't mind Mark coming back to build a sibling relationship with Courtney, She's a strong independent woman but I can't think of a good reason for her potential comeback without Grant but she could decide to return to Uni but cannot afford the rent in her student house which means she needs cheaper accommodation = the Mitchells house.

I've got nothing against him dropping in ocasionally, particularly if he brings Courtney, but they shouldn't be bending over backward to accommodate him, neglecting other characters to give him special status, or giving him tired old material that brings nothing particularly fresh to the table.

If he returned for a month or 2 and got a decent story, yes. But none of this dropping in, 2 episode here, 3 episodes there 6 months later, only having scenes with certain actors etc..

Was great having him back but I wanted it to be altogether not broken up. obviously it couldn't be helped due to Ross's other commitments but If he comes back I want it minimum 3 months and not broken up like it was. I'm not sure this last stint was even 3 weeks which is what we were told he'd be back for.

He needs a much longer stint, at least 6 months if not a year, to allow character development and decent storylines. No more of this half in half out rubbish. He is a brilliant character who adds lots to the show. I would love to see him back again, him, Courtney and Mark.

Thinking about it, it kind of makes sense for Grant to come back to support Phil during the ordeal of his forthcoming liver transplant, especially now they are back on speaking terms again.
It would be good if the writers add some complications to Phil's transplant where the operation goes wrong and Phil ends up in a coma or something, triggering a prompt return from Grant for a week or two. |

I think Ross will return every so often as and when the script needs the Kong fu bros together, which makes sense. Something which DTC did quite well i might add
