Why do you hope he won't be found guilty? If he has committed a crime then he should be.

Apparently, in his autobiog he says he was mugged by a homeless man while in The Netherlands in the eighties, he pushed him into a river and walked off and presumed the man died.

What a nob. If the Police have a body all they will have is the body of a man who has been assaulted and then drowned, now with a bloke confessing to it. The knife will be long gone so his claim of self defence will be impossible to prove.

There's something about him I don't like.
I'm sure that not long after he was arrested over a rape allegation (?) that something did come out about him alledgy being involved in killing a man in Amesterdam.

He wrote it in a book! He basically confessed to killing someone when he was clearly the only person in the world who knew he'd done it. For an intelligent man that's a very strange thing to do.
