Funny how you're all so critical of CJ. All the smugness and ego is just an act put on for the cameras. People who've appeared on his shows always say how nice he is.

I suspect the Dutch drug addict was less complementary about him.

If it goes to court maybe he could get Shaun "The Dark Destroyer" Wallace from The Chase to represent him

So nice that he murders homeless people ?

Its just an act. yeah underneath the smugness arrogance narcissism and psychopathy I'm sure there's a really nice guy who doesnt sexually assault 23 year olds in toilets.

Having thought about it he really reminds me of Sideshow Bob, a really intelligent person but a criminal!

I'm pretty sure it was mentioned he thought his life was in danger so he attacked the man. He didn't go up to some random guy in Amsterdam and kill him just for the thrill of it. Self-defence would be his justification, I guess.

Updated:

Quote:
“"It appears the defendant, a TV personality, wrote an autobiography. And in that autobiography it said that the defendant claimed that whilst living in Amsterdam in 1988 he may have killed a drug addict who was attempting to mug him by punching him and throwing him into a canal in Amsterdam.”

It's hard to prove he wasn't being mugged - given how long ago it was - so I doubt he'll get convicted. Drug addict/mugger attacks someone - they're entitled to defend themselves.

I'll tell you something else as well, I've lived in the Netherlands for over 15 years. I worked for homeless hostels in Amsterdam and Utrecht for two years and even though homeless people mither you a lot, the number of knife-carrying homeless drug-addicts can be counted on one hand.

I think he is a liar who has landed himself in hot water with his stories.”

I have a theory that the victim was the footballer Edgar Davids. At 5 foot 7 inches he is no giant and like all footballers he would be easily knocked over. Of course if he is still alive he can be summonsed to testify that Mr, de Moo did not kill him, and I for one would believe it.

I agree that on eggheads, CJ was a monumental c()ck (we all knew what the C stood for). However, if you see what he has been up to since (assuming for the moment he is innocent of sexual assault and murder as the law requires), it is rather clearer that he is a very very sad individual who desperately cries out for acceptance. He is so pathetic that any reasonable human being would feel sorry for him - no-one would choose to be so lonely & sad.

The thought of CJ disarming an attacker and hurling him into a canal is far too funny to be be true. Absolutely the police should investigate it, but it reeks of little more than a drama queen's fantasy.

That absolutely isn't true. Sadly he is a complete bellend and even his friends will tell you that.

Once on a show he came to support his friend during filming (another tv quizzer) and was hanging around the green room trying to get recognised but nobody cared. He sat on the edge of a setee near me and did his usual posturing in front of the parents of a contestant and I said "There's no point, CJ, they don't know who you are."

The mother, in her 70s, then chirped up and said "OOoh, who is he, then?" and I said "He's CJ from The Eggheads." and she said to him "Oh, hello TJ!" and he had the right arse and hissed back "It's Ceee Jayyy - you could at least try to get it right."

I later told CJ's friends what had happened and they laughed and said it was typical. I also said he was trying to get recognised and they laughed again and said whenever they go out to the pub he always stands near a doorway pretending to do something, just to try and get recognised, and then to act all indignant about not being allowed to go out without getting harassed.

As someone said above, he's a bit of a sad and really does need to feel like he's special. And I also think that his story about beating up an attacker is probably fantasy.

It does sound like fantasy to me and as you say if you had actually done it why on earth not report it. Especially if you genuinely thought you'd killed someone.

Nice to see you've decided to save all that time and trouble with an investigation or trial.

Any other cases you want to solve based purely upon reading an article about a book?

I think some people are missing the point about this alleged attack, the punching someone in self defence in't the problem, it's the throwing them in a canal thats the problem. That part is an after thought, and does tend towards a psychotic tendency.

Had he punched someone and they fell into the canal, that would be better, but any normal person would ring the police and tell them, not just walk off.

Maybe you're a bit thick but my point was about him not being a nice guy not whether or not he committed the actual murder.

He is an attention-seeking fantasist - as a result of being very sad and lonely.
