I think Jay explains himself pretty well in one of the secret confessionals I saw where he says that Michaela is too volatile and can't hide her emotions. She'll make the alliance lines too obvious come the merge, severely limiting the people that Jay will be able to work with.
I think the whole Figgy thing set his nose out of joint. They were supposed to be in the same alliance but Michaela didn't hold back in letting everyone know she was happy she was gone.

Michelle was disappointed to lose Figgy but is hoping there'll still be a strong Millennial force that will come together. So the reaction to Michaela being gone too will be very interesting.

Michaela was a star with her antics and her facial expressions. That WHAAAAAAAT moment was very gif-worthy.

Really hope the Millennials will be in shamble cause I am definitely rooting for a Gen X to win.

For some reason, I really liked Michaela and wanted her to do well. I quite liked her honesty but understand why they gave her the boot.

I'm really hoping Gen X win. Overall, they seem like a nicer bunch of people although I do like Adam and Zeke from the Millennials.

Hmm i felt Michelle was stupid in not forming a bigger bond with others outside her small group. Overall i was not keen on her and not bothered she went.

Sigh. Another female goes home...
The ratio is sickening. One man gone to seven women.

Now we're left with Sunday who doesn't do anything, Jessica who clearly hasn't a strategic bone in her body after the mess she made when she had to be saved by an Idol, and Hannah... Fantastic.

I didn't like Michelle the first few eps but she was starting to grow on me. I thought she'd take over Michaela as the strong female leader.

I'm glad that the silly boys aren't ruling the roost and they lost a number, but I just wish it would've been one of them instead.

Interesting episode, as have been most this season.

Just disappointed we didn't see the reaction to Michaela going. Also Probst didn't need to bring in the attempted tearjerking about someone's kids.

Adam is playing badly though I suppose it's entertaining in a way. Taylor telling him 'information leaks' was pretty funny, and Adam now showing that he genuinely thinks he can get with Taylor was funny too.

Happy with the way the alliances worked out for that vote. Shame it was Michelle though. would rather it was Taylor or Will.
But after a strong start her social game seemed to just fizzle out and she didn't make any new connections like others were doing.

It's funny how neurotic Adam is, in comparison to Taylor who just doesn't have a clue. I never really thought the majority would vote Adam out, but these current voting blocs (shudder) will hopefully make things unpredictable in future.

I'm seeing on twitter cries of misogyny and racism this season. Despite the fact that this time last season the women were coming together and there were so many strong contenders, while the males were looking pretty weak. Apparently it's not allowed to happen the other way round.
While the last few winners have been Michele, Jeremy, Mike, Natalie, Tony....I mean I think Survivor is doing just fine for diversity at the moment.
There's definitely discussions to be had on the psychology of voting people out, but those who throw the word racist about carelessly are part of the reason the word is losing all meaning.

There was also the storyline not long back of Michelle taking some aims at David at tribal, and now David seems to have a hand in her going. It did seem silly of her back then to have a go at David when it didn't seem to be crucial at that point in the tribe.

Jay sure messed up voting out Michaela.

Keeping Sunday and Bret who are sticking together no matter what was just dumb. The 'cool kids' knew they had lost Zeke and Adam due to the Mari vote, and then they went and booted Michaela and kept Hannah out of the loop (which told her she was at the bottom).

Adam even voted out Figgy, there was no way they were going to merge and stick together, yet Jay didn't seem to factor any of this in his decision to boot Michaela. He got far too comfortable and maybe the last vote might have woken him up.

I can't see the target shifting off Jay/Will/Taylor before the next vote - the whole reason Michelle got voted off is because they're too tight, and that'll still be the case without Michelle there.

Great blindside voting out Michaela, but a terrible move for Jay and Will.

Agree about Jay. I loved the Michaela blindside but I was disappointed he played it all so poorly this episode. Though to give him the benefit of the doubt there were probably a few things the edit didn't show, like how much work he may have put into ensuring Bret and Sunday were still with him.
I think voting off Michaela would have worked if maybe Taylor and Michelle had also built some bonds with Gen-Xers on other tribes, which they obviously didn't.
In the end, Jay looked kind of foolish being so shocked and appalled at Michelle going. I think he let his ego slightly get the better of him, not majorly but slightly.

A few other thoughts from the episode:
-Adam's advantage is rather crap. Played just right I'm sure there's a benefit there somewhere. But it's hard not to see it peeing people off and putting a target on him. Poor Adam, like he's not capable of doing that himself.
-While the edit is unpredictable, with another gamer gone, I'm very curious how the show is building up to the possible vote offs of people like Sunday, Will.......I mean there's a lot of severely under-developed people still there. The edit had better get to work to provide some satisfying storylines.
-I'm glad Michelle made jury, she seems like she'll be non-bitter and able to look at the big picture.

I loved watching it as it was a great blindside and was a great TV moment, but yeah it was a bad bad move for Jay & Will.

What do you think the producers have in mind for this new advantage that is in the game? We have not seen the auction reward yet, i wonder if it can be used to steal an auction item? Also usually at final 6-4 you get the chance to win an advantage in the immunity challenge wonder if they are hoping its kept for that.

Glad with the vote off. Certainly my least fave player left. Maybe keeping him around as a goat could have been a strategy but he's just so bad at it that I don't think he deserved to stick around.

I think Jay's sneaky enough to cause a bit of chaos, even if it means he dodges just one more tribal.
I would be happy with Will, Chris or Sunday going next, I've almost no interest in any of them.
Not sure where Sunday's thing against Jessica suddenly came from, might be leading to something or may just blow up in her face. I'm hoping for the latter since the David/Ken/Jessica alliance is where I'm most invested.

So little Ken recently though. Which is a shame as he's quite unusual, plus I'm finding Adam, Zeke and Hannah all rather grating right now. Performing for the cameras so bad and I'm not sure Hannah can really roll her eyes about Adam 'wanting to sit at the cool kids table'. Hmmm lets rewind to episode 2 shall we.
I still like this group though.

Jeff loved giving ken doll the necklace and getting his hands on him, for what looked like a bit too long. Will last week didn't get an arm around him

Taylor did make me laugh this episode, I just loved his I don't give AF attitude, "yeahh... I stole your food".

These last two vote offs have been predictable, I'm hoping next week we don't lose Jay. I want to see the gen x's turn against each other and blindside someone.

Good that Taylor is gone. He clearly had no real strategic side to him at all. If he wanted to use Adam’s advantage as a method of shifting the target from himself to Adam, then he should have told everyone before the tribal council. That would have given him to talk to people privately about voting Adam out. Revealing it at tribal council was pointless, as the other players would have made a decision on who to vote for by that point, and nobody was going to discuss the possibility of switching their vote to Adam at tribal council while Adam and everyone else was sitting right there. Although I suspect that Taylor wasn’t genuinely interested in keeping himself in the game, and just wanted to get back at Adam because of the Figgy vote.
The fact that Will voted for Jay is very interesting. I assume that Jay and Will figured out that the vote was going to be split between Taylor and Jay, so voting for Adam was just pointless (Taylor was probably too stupid and/or bitter to figure that out), so logically it made sense for Jay to vote Taylor in order to get Taylor out and keep himself in the game. Although I find it very interesting that Will voted for Jay. I think there is more to the Jay/Will dynamic than what’s been shown onscreen. The edit has made them look really close, and Will has seemed like a puppet of Jay’s for the most part, but the fact that he voted for Jay over Taylor suggests that the Jay/Will dynamic is more complex than it is being made out. Also, Taylor has said in interviews that he knew Jay had the idol, as Will had been telling people, which further adds fuel to the theory that there is some mistrust between them.

I also hope that neither Jay and Will go next week. Not because I particularly rate them, but because it would make the show rather boring if the core alliance just sticks together, and it would end up like Australian Survivor with a core alliance picking off everyone else.
