Great result here. Why can't the actual show vote like this? I enjoy the entertainment Ed brings but annoyed with better dancers going as a result of it.

As a northerner who has been dragged on many a holiday to Blackpool, this week should probably have given me a good ole’ sentimental rush. The judges put paid to that with their hideous marking. Lots of discussion of marking has happened ‘out there’, so I think we better crack on with seeing what our wonderful panel made of the show. They are:

Wally: Claudia, this was a really cute and fun dance to kick off the show. I loved the energy and spunk that you had in this dance. You performed and danced it well and the speed of it was difficult but I thought you pulled it off for the most part. Some of your spins at the start seemed a bit unspotted and off. The kicks and flicks were good but not as sharp and precise as it could have been. But I loved the tricks and flips and the gymnastic bits you added although you did lack some lightness in the footwork. You danced well with the backing dancers too. Not your best dance but it was still really fun and enjoyable dance.

Not too surprisingly, Claudia and AJ are seeing a wee bit of a drop…
