(As you can see I tried with the tipi over Aljaz's name, but DS just isn't having it.)

Danny and Oti – Our Way
Callum – 8
East – 8 Jess – 8 Julie – 9 Total: 33 Julie: The BEST Cha-cha-cha EVER!! ![]() In reality, the Strictly judges marked this to be the best Cha Cha Cha ever. TWO MARKS MORE Bringing a flavour of Spain to the dance floor, it’s Tameka and Gorka… |

Tameka Empson and Gorka Marquez dancing the Paso Doble to ‘Y Viva Espańa’ (Sylvia)
Craig – 6 Darcey – 6 Len – 7 Bruno – 7 Total: 26 Was that a corker of a dance from Tameka and Mr Marquez? |

Tameka and Gorka – Our Way
Callum – 6
East – 7 Jess – 5 Julie – 9 Total: 27 Jess: I actually adore Tameka as a person but this was underwhelming. Fern Britton levels of skirt flapping and the decision to have a week one Paso was bizarre. Pop open the sangria, have a siesta etc etc because Tameka and Gorka receive… ONE MARK MORE Bringing some zest to the floor, it’s Anastacia and Brendan… |

Anastacia and Brendan Cole dancing the Cha Cha Cha to ‘Lady Marmalade’ (Moulin Rouge)
Craig – 8 Darcey – 7 Len – 7 Bruno – 6 Total: 28 The real joy of this dance was seeing just how far Brendan will descend into ‘not giving a shit’ levels while performing a soft-porn routine… |

Anastacia and Brendan – Our Way
Callum – 7
East – 5 Jess – 6 Julie – 8 Total: 26 Jess: I didn't think Brendan's choreography would ever reach bacofoil standards again, yet this cha-cha-cha certainly reached a new level of crazy. The borderline penetration on the chair was a new low for softcore pornography. Apparently these lot are outta love for Anastacia… TWO MARKS FEWER Next up is a guy who might have been involved in some politics, they didn’t really mention. Ed Balls and Katya… |

Ed Balls and Katya Jones dancing the Waltz to ‘Are You Lonesome Tonight?’ (Elvis Presley)
Craig – 5 Darcey – 5 Len – 6 Bruno – 5 Total: 21 At least he’s stopped giving his set-piece, soundbite interviews a smidge. Forget your Darren Gough, that’s a true journey right there. |

Ed and Katya – Our Way
Callum – 5
East – 4 Jess – 4 Julie – 3 Total: 16 Jess: Well, he certainly wasn't as terrible as I was expecting but all eyes were definitely on Katya here. Nicely choreographed and at least Ed managed one reasonable performance before he inevitably reaches first boot territory next week. There’s damning with faint praise, and then there’s Jess’ comment… FIVE MARKS FEWER Bringing their routine to the floor, it’s Claudia and AJ… |

Claudia Fragapane and AJ Pritchard dancing the Cha Cha Cha to ‘What Makes You Beautiful’ (One Direction)
Craig – 6 Darcey – 6 Len – 7 Bruno – 7 Total: 26 If someone had told me Greg Rutherford would be above Claudia Fragapane on the week one leaderboard…*insert your own extreme scenarios here* |

Claudia and AJ – Our Way
Callum – 6
East – 6 Jess – 5 Julie – 8 Total: 25 Callum: For me, the flips and tricks don't do anything to me, it showcases your personality but adds nothing to the dance. It was average at best for me. Even that eight can’t salvage this score… ONE MARK LESS Finally, it’s Will and Karen… |

Meanwhile Danny Mac takes his slinky hips straight to the top of leaderboard. It could all change next weekend though. See you then.

According to Wikipedia, Danny Mac spent several years understudying the role of Boq in the London performance of Wicked.
He is therefore a musical theatre luvvie and not a filthy, FILTHY soap star, and I can feel no angiush about him being top of the leaderboard, or my marks coinciding with the number of "pac" revealed on his abs each week...erm, yes, professionalism, right..! Always a pleasure to see this series back, entertaining as ever!

I never thought I'd see Judge Rinder come third on any type of leaderboard, for starters. |
