I ask this because the Mitchells really are going to change within the next few year. Phil will be hitting his 60s by the time we hit the 2020s and the thug life style will need to be toned down. SOC in my opinion has a huge job in making sure the Mitchells can keep going we are now going to have to enter a new generation of Mitchells where Ben,Courtney,Jay,Louise will have to be at the forefront a long with Janet and Will as they grow up into teenagers. The question is do you think the Mitchells can keep going or do you think they are on their way out?

I don't think Phil can last the next 10 minutes let alone years.

Dare I say it. His time may be over as this liver storyline is going on and he is no better. A true depiction. Was he drunk? If so isn't that another 6 months before a transplant?

I hope Phil and Sharon are gone this time next year (if only on extended break). Phil should have a death story soon. It's utterly ridiculous. Billy bores me as a character so I hope he goes soon. Ben and Louise can stay and bring back the rest of the younger Mitchells so they can grow on their own and build their own history on the show without the vile older Generations around. I'd love to see Mark/Courtney develop their relationship as siblings and Jay works well with Ben.

I can see Phil drinking again after he gets his new liver

Then on the Fortieth anniversary, his Liver will pack up again and Grant will turn up with Michelle as his wife

I doubt he was drunk today, when soaps make something SO obvious but don't actually show it on screen (i.e. we never actually saw Phil drinking) then it almost always hints that there's going to be a twist. I'm not sure what symptom of his liver disease could cause him to appear drunk but I'm sure there's something.

I'd say he's I'll, maybe slipping into a coma, and if someone doesn't realize it soon he won't last a week.

As for the future I think that rests with Ben, Jay and Courtney. It would be nice to see Honey start to get some s/ls though.

In a couple of years or so I would like Lola to return or maybe Billy and Honey have another baby to keep their little more pleasant Mitchell unit fresh.

I'd love Lola back. It would be good for Ben, Jay and Kathy as well. Not sure I could stomach another pregnancy.😉

Letitia Dean has had two big breaks from EE- I don't see her leaving but Phil does need to be rested as a character for at least a year.
