We really enjoyed it too, hadn't heard about it and also found it browsing through Netflix. Shame we can't binge watch it- it has me hooked so will continue to watch!

There is already a new 24 in production with Kiefer as Executive Producer. He isn't starring though.

That was a better episode and it was in part due to not having the annoying children in it.

I was about to post exactly the same thing. Easily the best episode so far. After a so-so opening few episodes this is slowly maturing into a decent show.

Am wondering if Kiefer will ALWAYS be shown to be right... though thinking about it now, his waiting may have contributed to the death of his Agent, so maybe my fears are unfounded. Just reminded of when the West Wing went to Israel (?) to sort out the Palestine/Israel 'situation' and there was one character whose sole purpose in the show seemed to be to always come up with the correct thing to do in any situation. If Kiefer is never wrong this show could get a little irritating.

btw: this show can maybe be split into quarters:
(1) something bad happens and they're called in
(2) something worse happens
(3) they try something and it doesn't work
(4) they try something else and it works.

The Agent was captured straight after sending the message so was a dead man walking from that moment.

He was either going to be killed by the terrorists or killed in the bombing.

All Kirkman has done by delaying the attack by 12 hours is give time for the Terrorist leader to make his getaway.

Really enjoying this so far, I like Kiefer's character a lot, and the "ordinary man in extraordinary circumstances" trope has a lot of mileage, but it only works if he turns out to be better POTUS than anyone expects, so they're going to find it very hard to stop it just turning into The West Wing sooner or later, especially once the bomb plot has been resolved...

Why is there a gap, was it also a weeks wait in the State's original broadcast?

Enjoying the show so far, just hope that we don't finish up with regular fortnightly episodes.

Probably. This what happens with US shows. Which is why I like it when they don't start until, say, January over here. Because we're all caught up (and sometimes ahead!) by the time the show actually finishes in the States.

Some shows can have "mid-season" gaps of up to three months

It wasn't on here in the US last week, it's back on tomorrow night.

rolleyes.

You just knew that when the President asked something personal about the protection agent, something was going to happen to him.

I'm really enjoying this series so far, it's a shame there's been a couple of weeks with no episode as it interrupts the flow, hopefully it'll be more consistent again now.

I loved Keifer Sutherland being asked to approve "enhanced interrogation" but apart from that, I didn't think much of the latest episode. He should have just told the governors that he is the President because that's what the Constitution says and just get on with it. Hope the next one's better.

Don't think it's that simple in politics.

Looking at the episodes there's 4 more to come and there will be another week break strangely.

Next episodes is on 17th November, then the next is 1st December,
