Considering the Saturday show is 1 hour and 50 minutes and the Sunday show is 2 hours, there is absolutely no reason why we can't see every act perform and see an equal amount of air time for each of them. No doubt the show will be filled with a load of crap though as usual to pad it out.

I wonder if the chicken boys will have some sort of 'hilarious' drama which takes up about 30 minutes of the show with everyone else crammed into whatever time is left after the 47 ad breaks

How about a sweepstake on how many times the line 'I say Honey, you say G' is used over the weekend?

It would be nice if the remaining contestants all had an equal amount of airtime, but I doubt if that will happen.

They should cut any intros, flashbacks or cvreated drama and just show everyone in the order it went but no will be filtered and edited to buggery and most wont get much airtime at all

This is the problem. Everyone that has reached this stage deserves to have some decent coverage in my view regardless of whether you like them or not.

Possible spoiler alert, while I say as much as I can without saying too much.

Considering some excellent singers ,a couple so good that not even a purposely dry(completely unenhanced ) vocal edit(those disgust me, and are so obvious if you have even the most basic engineering experience) or a sabatage song choice designed to make any singer sound "theatre" could hide their talent (spoiler-watch for a great vocal on an iconic but unsuitable song that was expected to do this and didn't, thus resulting in someone who could win a fair competition being told that they sounded theatre even though they managed to do the impossible and not ), were not put through, chances are we will be not seeing much of them .

They chose some talented acts that are marketable, and I like most , but...they also cut some equally talented, far more vocally gifted acts who are less "controlable" and would not be as dependent on things like in-house song writers .They want a winner who sees winning the show as a goal in itself, eager to sign a contract that basiclly gives the show rights for years to come no matter what, not one who sees being in the lives and maybe winning as a logical stepping stone for exposure, and the truth is, to those who are "that good" that is all the X Factor will ever be,especially experienced artists. Work out who is which. Go by things like who gets a vocal high in the mix with enhancements and lots of "random" film time, and who gets unsuitable songs/dry mixes or/and a strong vocal still discernable buried in a loud track , and brief air time...That is how you can predict who you will see the most and least of, every year, every time.

Some interesting points here. The GBP have to consider the role that they play. It is plainly obvious to everyone which contestants that the producers want to win each year. The GBP don't have to vote for these acts, but unfortunately they normally do, so the punters are just as much to blame for picking bland winners like Ben Haenow who has sunk faster than the titanic. It is up to the punters at home to vote for who they really like, and not for those that the producers of the show want us to vote for. That way we just might get better winners every year.

Problem is whilst the programme makers manipulation may be easy to spot for most mature adults the teen viewers are generally too young and naive to see this and so go with the hype!

Most of the talented acts who are not chosen generally get cut right before the lives if not at 6 chair. Until then, poor mixes, unsuitable choices, limited rehearsal time, and if all that fails to dim their star, show as little of them as possible to try to maintain credibility as a "singing" competition. That way, you never get a vote.

How about a Honey G singalong of

I say Honey. You say...
Sh 1 t

Would be immense if the audience sang that at the lives

We know that not everyone who makes it to the 6CC will be shown because of what happened to Caitlyn last year. After she was cut at that stage, she was excised from the edited versions of all 3 rounds.

I suspect any novelty acts like Ottavio and Bradley and Honey G, as well as favourites such as Caitlyn and Matt Terry will get some reasonable airtime. I'd like to hope The Brooks get more airtime during six chair challenge than they did last week.

I also wouldn't be surprised if Ivy Grace Paredes gets good airtime as well, as I hear her performance is amazing and may be one of the few standing ovation performances of the series. I know people on this forum have mixed views on her for some reason but her voice is arguably one of the strongest of this series, certainly from the female contestants.

Either way looking forward to watching this weekend.

Nate Simpson got a standing ovation for his great performance of "R*****" at 6 chair without them needing to prompt the audience like they usually do to stage a "moment",, and he, Peyton, Lascel and some other male singers , not to mention Gifty, Anelisa, Relley and a few other female singers are easily as strong vocally as Ivy, a few with far more range, though no argument that she has a good voice, pretty tone, and good tech. I hope every one Ijust mentioned, Ivy included, gets air time.

I've already stated that Peyton is my absolute favourite this year but I'm also looking forward to the others you've mentioned - with the exception of Ivy who isn't my sort of thing.

I'm away next weekend so looks like I'm going to miss JH going out so I'll have to try and keep away from finding out who gets through until I catch up on Monday week

Plenty of great performances to look forward to.

I really don't get the hype about Relley C and Gifty, to me they are very average singers. There are other good female singers too, more so in the Overs category (Saara, Maria). Anelisa has her moments but for her its completely about song choice.

It'd be interesting regarding Saara as she has had a lot of YT views for her X Factor performances thus far (and her 15 languages of "Let It Go" which she recorded"), probably from international viewings.

Admittedly compared to YT videos Ivy's singing thus far on X Factor has been a little below par for her, but then editing and song choice also comes into that. I'm hoping this weekend will change that for her (and from what I've heard she's one to watch this weekend).

Overs I'd say overall the strongest category this year, loads of great singers.

Judging by their bootcamp coverage, they will do the same thing to Ottavio & Bradley that they did to Blonde Electra, like 40 segs singing of their worse segment and everybody hating on them.
