I was so worried about their AT due to the unsuitable music, but they were just amazing.
My only complaint was that it was over too soon, it was so perfect that I didn't want it to end.

I read on Facebook that Danny's father had a heart attack during the week and has had a by-pass operation. All credit to him for continuing without making a fuss. He has gone even higher in my estimation now.

![]() Maybe his pain carried through into his dance, the emotion was electrifying throughout. |

I loved Danny and Oti's AT. It was brilliant.
It wasn't nice seeing Danny sad. I hope that his dad has a speedy recovery. |

Caught it late, but WOW that was exceptional. I actually think at times they underplay how difficult the routines are that he masters. That was by far the best dance of the night for me.

Still rattled by Craig and Darcey this morning, too angry, too frantic? I wish they would just mark them on how the dance the choreography they're given! Craig SHOULD have loved the drama of that routine based on previous comments etc so why didn't he? Darcey as a ballet dancer should know better, dance the steps you've given, tell the story of the song, they did both, WITH BELLS ON. Was pleasantly surprised by Len, good on you, he's such a traditionalist yet still managed to appreciate what he'd seen. It was Bruno who summed it up by saying they were depicting an argument, the lyrics were a bit of a give away people, was never going to be the traditional AT story to that song. I'm STILL rewatching it this morning, had it on mute, noticed the speed and intensity increase without the music, wow, goosebumps time. (Again). |

That was one epic AT. I knew the potential criticisms I mentioned before the show would be highlighted i.e. moments of stillness and the 'A' frame hold. The comments from sofakat, fm who's danced and studied AT for many years, were really positive and she gave the dance her seal of approval which was nice to see. She also mentioned how there are many variations of AT and how their hold belonged to a specific style of AT.
The lifts were seamless too, doesn't look as though he'll have any major issues in that department so expecting some good ones in their charleston, salsa or American smooth. |

Really excited to see what they will produce in the next few weeks if they are still in the competition. They have a good selection of dances left and I'm sure they'll do brilliant in the Cha Cha Challenge in Week 10. If Danny's background is anything to go by, he will love Musical's Week.
I thought their Argentine Tango was superb. |

Just shown my daughter (ex professional singer/dancer) the AT. She doesn't watch SCD but did know Danny from H/Oaks, was surprised when I told her he's nothing like Dodger in real life.
She's very much musical theatre (not ballroom/Latin tho she has done routines based on both on cruises) her face was a picture, her 1st comment? 'That footwork, wow' Thought I'd share

Watched this again this morning, just focussing on the footwork, it is immense.
I have no idea why that didn't get 40 tbh. |

Immediate 'post dance' reaction from our pair (this may well be shown on the results show later) .... this spoke volumes to me

Undoubtably the best dance of the night, more than 1 point different too but the scores started so high last night there was nowhere to go!

I'm STILL rewatching it this morning, had it on mute, noticed the speed and intensity increase without the music, wow, goosebumps time. (Again). Danny has deserved 40 on numerous occasions in my opinion. His Paso, QS, Jive and AT were just brilliant and I haven't seen anything that has bettered his performances so far (as good as the other couples are). I think the judges are nitpicking but hopefully like others have mentioned in previous posts, it'll benefit him in the long run. The audience seem to like an underdog like Ed but they also don't like to see great dancers being under marked and less polished performances being generously marked. All of the dancers come in at different starting points and I wouldn't watch Strictly if they were all weak at the beginning. But no matter what ability they start at they're all expected to make a journey of progress. Danny is certainly being challenged with super hard choreography and he's stepped up every time and is clearly working very hard. Ian Waite tweeted last week that Doti threw everything but the kitchen sink at their Jive and he praised them on ITT too saying they were his favourites in last week's show. . Quote:
Try watching it on mute, and you'll even see the moments of stillness in the 1st 1/2 of the dance which are characteristic of the AT.
Can't get enough of this routine today 😍 Quote:

We should learn at least a couple tonight, fingers crossed we don't have to wait til Tuesday for the big reveal. On second thoughts, maybe it's better that way, we were all so excited by the thought of an AT, then when we found out the music on Tuesday .......... |

Danny said in an interview with Camilla Dallerup that he's a big Michael Jackson fan. |

This made me laugh, my husband loves anything on Dave, Storage Wars, Storage Hunters, Police Interceptors, Practical Jokers, Top Gear, MOTD, etc. He then moans at me for watching too much Strictly, lol.
Change MOTD for Rugby (league or union he's not fussy) and this is my hubby too ![]() Oooh thanks, I'll have a look. Danny said in an interview with Camilla Dallerup that he's a big Michael Jackson fan. ![]() ![]() ![]() (Tongue in cheek before anyone mentions conspiracies) lol |
