Back on track with great song choices. I could not be happier.

I wonder which will be the base dance for their AS? Will Oti use a dance they have already done (possibly not Foxtrot!?) so Danny is not learning two dances completely from scratch. A nice VW perhaps?

Cannot wait to hear them talking about training on ITT. Also WWW tomorrow/Thursday as there are eight dances to talk about.

I wonder if they're doing a Waltz version of the Anerican Smooth? Rolling two new dances into one. I might be wrong but Misty Blue seems to lend itself to a Waltz. I remember Harry and Aliona doing a Waltz American Smooth in the final back in 2011.

I'm not a dancer but it definitely sounds like a Waltz/VW to me. I'm excited to see the story Oti creates for this because it has the potential to be really romantic and gorgeous.

I am going to be trying to keep my expectations low but I am already far more excited for this Saturday than I was last week.

Could it be Danny in tails again? I think we would all die and go to heaven if he did or just melt into a pool on the floor!

I'm struggling to contain my excitement! Tips please! 😉

Misty Blue is such a beautiful song and I agree it has the potential to be romantic and completely spellbinding. I can envisage the aerial views of them now if it's a Waltz/VW AS.

The salsa music is also fab. Looking forward to seeing them on ITT tomorrow.

Misty Blue seems to be in 4/4, or similar time, so they'd need to re jig it for a waltz I think?
It does seem to sound like it has the VW swirl though.
In the music world I'd be classed very much a ringah, and while I know dance, I'm no expert on Ballroom or Latin.

Love, love, love Misty Blue

Thanks for the useful info. 😊 Their VW was lovely and Danny has the potential to show progress if this is the basis for their AS.

LIke everyone else, I am loving these two songs this week for Danny& Oti. My only concern is trying to fit two dances into one week. They're putting so many hours in already. Hoping Oti will get some tips from the other professionals..................not sure she has been in this position before.

Misty Blue sounds very much like a waltz/ww. Definitely has the potential to be beautiful. It's quite an emotional song. Don't know the Marc Anthony song but I like the vibe of it and it doesn't seem really fast either, which is a good thing.

Hoping for some good footage tomorrow......................... quite excited!!!!!!

This is SCD though and anything is possible! I've heard the band rejig other tracks to fit.

Listening again, it's definitely a slow 4/4, BUT, the 3 is there on each of the slow beats. Slowed very slightly it could work for VW, I think!
Just wish I knew more about ballroom, arrrgghhhhh!

Bowing to your greater knowledge Fairytootoo.......................thanks for the info. It does have quite a VW swirl...........and they've already done it so should be a plus for them.

Anything is possible indeed. 😉 But what you have said makes a lot of sense, thanks for sharing. 👍 A VW American Smooth would be gorgeous.

I really loved Oti's modern twist on their VW and I remember Craig commenting that he loved the AS moment in it so I think their AS has the potential to be really good. It's one of the dances I've really been looking forward to.

One thing I've loved about Oti's choreography this series is that she thinks outside the box and puts her own twist on things and really goes out of her way to showcase her partner. Even though it didn't quite go to plan, I loved the concept of her Foxtrot and would love to see it again (although not in the final because they seem to never want to speak about it again).

The little snippet they played on ITT sounded more like the remix which is a lot faster than the original.

Craig doesn't think that Danny will win. I'm not convinced either.

I've never been convinced of a win, it's not always the best dancer that does.
But yes, I'd love them too! Craig COULD have done them a favour, galvanize people to vote who might not have bothered.
That said, I just want to see as many dances as possible from them, as whatever happens, they've done themselves and us proud!

I agree. Hopefully he has.

Even if Danny doesn't win, I think that he will go down as one of the best celebrities to ever do the show. I think that a lot of people will be disappointed if he doesn't win.

I want them to win because they have been the best. They have a good partnership and have delivered great routines each week. I also want them to win because I don't think that Oti will get a partner as good as Danny again.

I think there's a difference between the Sun's headline of "Craig doesn't think Danny will win" and Craig's actual words that he "doesn't think it's a foregone conclusion that he'll win." The headline makes it sound like Danny has no chance - always good for drawing more page views as well as votes - when actually Craig is saying he could win but it's not certain he will which I agree with. Danny absolutely can win but he has competition which is how a semi-final should be.

I agree Mutinta. Craig has said previously that Danny will be hard to beat. Hopefully The Sun's headline will help galvanise votes.

Agree. As for his praise, if Craig thinks that being cast in one of the West End productions is a worthy consolation prize for Danny, he is mistaken. He forgets that winning it all means recognition for the pro partner as well as the celebrity. It will be injustice of all injustices if Oti - who has been THE Star of the 2016 season - does not lift the mirror ball this year.

I agree but Strictly fans don't always get it right.

When Chris Hollins won, were people expecting it?

I supported Chris and even bet on him to win but he wasn't definitely a late surprise. His odds were still long even in semi-final week.

Danny and Oti sound nervous. I think this will be a hard week but I have faith in them. It definitely helps that it's a VW-based AS.

They don't seem confident at all. I'm slightly worried for them
