I'm not sure how Darcey could describe that lift as "clumsy", it was unorthodox but Danny executed it well and it flowed into the VW. It's like when she labelled their AT "frantic", her choice of words at times can be quite inapposite. I loved that sequence in the middle that ended with Oti on the floor and Danny doing that exquisite handstand over her, it was stunning.
Salsa aficionados on the main forum weren't impressed with the salsa routine and couldn't quite work out the style D&O were dancing b/c in their eyes it wasn't salsa. For me, it was the best 'salsa' Jon Platero has produced but he's supposed to be a salsa expert and champion so it's weird that his salsa choreography hasn't quite lived up to his reputation. Anyway, D&O did a marvelous job with the routine they were assigned. |

I really loved their salsa but I seem to be in the minority haha. Their AS was incredible but for some reason I just can't stop watching their salsa. Weird to think that a few weeks back I didn't want Danny to win but he has grown on me.

Arlene Phillips has tweeted some lovely comments about Oti's choreography.

Well some of us did know, others didn't and I still can't believe Danny & Oti were in the DO!!
I just hope it has a positive effect and they now get the votes they deserve next week! |

I've gone through the full range of emotions and opinions on them being bottom two since I read the spoiler last night.
Danny and Oti are my winners. They have been incredible all series and have overtaken Ramps and Karen as my favourite Strictly couple ever. Maybe the shock dance off appearance will help them with voters; maybe people assumed they were safe and panic voted for Louise; maybe they don't have the support needed to lift that glitterball and never did. I don't know. What I do know is that I am going to relish their final week of training and vote like mad for them on Saturday. Win or lose, they have been brilliant. Let's all enjoy the last week of this magical partnership. |

Gutted but glad we will see them next week.
Hoping anyone who can vote does after that. They have just given us so many beautiful, memorable dances (way more than any other remaining couple imo), they really deserve the win. |

I don't think it helped that they all had positive comments on Len's lens except Danny whose was a negative one about a figure of eight move. Nice just before a dance off. I really hope he can really enjoy this week and that if people didn't vote this week because they thought he was safe will realise now they should if they want him to win. |

I'm hoping that the Danny and Oti blow everyone away next week and that all those who thought they were safe, those who tried to vote and couldn't get through, or those who are in shock because they were in the dance off, vote in droves. He's the best dancer I've ever seen on Strictly and for him not to win with Oti would be a travesty, really. I'm hoping for an Alesha moment, as she was in the semi final dance-off but went on to win. I'm hoping this shocker of a dance-off will benefit him in the final.

Oti seems such a genuinely lovely person. Her tweets abut Danny are making me all emotional. I want them to win, but more than that I am just glad we get to see them dance one more night.

I'm just infuriated that Danny, Oti, Claudia and AJ were in that dance off. No way should they have been in that dance off, and they all knew it. It's sad, because I feel like the obvious bias is why people like Trent, Gleb and Tristan only lasted 1/2 series. I really hope AJ sticks with it, as I love his choreography - Oti too.

It was Matt v Gethin in the Semi Final of that year.Maybe it will be a shot across the bows. That's what I'm holding on for. They didn't deserve to be down there last night but I'm glad the judges didn't mark them top - maybe us, their fans, needed a warning sign that the fanbase hasn't been voting?

Just wanted to say congrats to Danny for making the final. He'll be getting my votes in the absence of Claudia. Neither should have been in the D/O. I'm relying on Danny to brighten up the final for me now!

As a Danny/Oti and Claudia/AJ fan I was so sad to see both my favourites in the DO. Hopefully Danny can go on to win it, and I'm sure him and Oti will produce sone fantastic dances.
