Yes the Samba I would think then perhaps, for contrast, the QS or AS or VW. Maybe the Charleston because they do sometimes use backing dancers I think (I've never been but I thought I read they used them last year!?!)
Whoever is going is in for a treat I'm sure. Hope they win some (all ) dates. It won't be easy, Ed is bound to be popular and Ore and Louise of course.I hope that they win the tour as well. Ore might not win because he won the main show. |

It's got to be the Samba, I think a lot of people going to see the tour will be expecting/anticipating it. The QS would be a good second dance if only to atone for the mistake in the final. Doubt they'd do the AS because of the ending; it would be risky for Oti to hurl herself off the jetty thirty times. I reckon doing samba & QS and not winning the TV series should guarantee a tour win for Danny and Oti. I know Ed Balls will do his 'Gangnam Salsa' but hopefully the audience will enjoy it for the parody it is but not vote for him to win. It would be a shame if the 10th anniversary of the tour had Ed Balls as its overall winner.
![]() If they do the QS, I hope that Danny and Oti do the original version. |

Thanks londongirlGre and Gill P. for the nice welcome. ![]() Quote:
They became my sole favourites during one of their earlier ITT interviews. They were the perfect match.
Another bit I loved was much later in their training session for the Samba: Danny was practicing the pelvis movements and Oti was nearly on the floor laughing her head off at every attempt at his. Danny is such a good sport for being able "to take it". As you said, they were just the perfect team. ![]() Quote:
My favourite dances of theirs were:
1. The Cha Cha 2. The Samba 3. The American Smooth 4. The Salsa Quote:
Although I loved all of their dances.

Welcome to the forum, shamrock_17!
I found your first post very interesting and not boring at all. I am looking forward to seeing Danny and Oti on the tour in February. Until then I will watch their dances on YouTube whenever I have a spare moment (on my own of course). I am still trying to sortiout though, how the tour actually works: Each couple has 2 dances of their choice, I think, and in the end the audience votes who win? Do the judges have any say or is it just the audience? Are the two dances voted separately for, or is it just a vote for the team? How big are the venues? Quote:

), that might be a handicap, too, I guess. http://strictlycomedancinglive.com/2...-up-confirmed/ Quote:

![]() Ed's "Gangnam Style" is great fun, but it doesn't have the same substance as the other dances, and I hope the audience agrees with that and doesn't vote him as a winner. Quote:

Another great post, shamrock_17. Although, I did like Oti's Salsa outfit but I can see what you mean.
Danny and Oti's dances are the only ones that I have rewatched. I have been to the tour before, but I can't remember if the winner of each show is just down to the audience. I'm assuming that it is. IIRC, voting opens after all of the couples have done their first dance and continues throughout the show. The venues for the tour are quite big. The o2 in London holds 20,000 people. I'm looking forward to the tour. It should be a good evening. |

I think it is just down to the audience vote. The judges just give their opinion and then the audience text their vote during the interval and the second half. Don't quote me on the timing as it was a while ago I went (Gethin won!)
The venues are enormous! You need an oxygen mask to sit at the top in the O2. However, I have (or rather will have) a seat in the second row of the floor area! So really close! |

![]() Over all I think Danny and Oti really got lucky (or made good friends ) with the wardrobe/makeup department. Except for Oti's paso frock which I didn't care for, I think they've mostly had the best and most matching outfits for their dances. Loved the simplistic yet classic Gene-Kelly-Style outfit for their AS. Same for their Quickstep: Danny looked so dashy, Oti so beautiful. Oti's Samba dress is to die for (when you have a tiny waist and a mile long legs and a gorgeous goldenbrown skin tone), such a difference from the usual skimpy feather and sequines Samba dresses. Also loved their Halloween makeup: dramatic but not overdone, so it might become borderline comic (such a shame about the Foxtrot, but I still love it, despite the mistake) a.s.o.Also apart from that dratted disco-Tango, they also got quite a lot of wonderful authentic music choices. Of course, part of it was also due to Oti's ability to make almost everything work, as I wasn't too sure a bout INXS for a VW or "I heard it through the grapevine" for an AT in the beginning, but Oti did a wonderful job with them (and no, their AT wasn't too agressive - it's a song about suspicion and jealousy, for heaven's sake Quote:

Have fun on your evening, and I expect a review including a lot of Doti gushing from you, too, of course.

I agree with you, shamrock_17. Most of their outfits and songs were good.
I don't feel bad at all for only rewatching Danny and Otis's dances. I think that most people have one couple that they mainly rewatch. I'm quite new to watching Strictly properly. 2014 was the first series that I watch all of it. Thanks for wishing me a good night for when I go on the tour. ![]() I'm considering going to one of the Wembley Arena dates as well because there are floor seats available. I'm not a fan of the level 4 seats at the o2. They feel too high and if you are in the front row, there isn't a really a proper barrier, IIRC. |

I would love to see Doti's QS on tour but the original dance. I loved the opening section and was really surprised that Len was not keen. It was telling the story of the song and worked so well. Perhaps on tour he will not be so strict or Danny will have longer to practise the changed opening as he only had one day to learn the 'new' dance for the final. If not the QS on tour for any reason then the VW.
I'm not talking wins on the tour for Danny & Oti as I want to hope for the best and that the audience do the right thing for them after the travesty of the final. |

Yes, the O2 so I'm really pleased Danny & Oti are touring.
![]() ![]() Which date are you going? I'm going on the 12th February. My seat is in level 1. I took ages to book my ticket because I wanted to be sure that Danny and Oti were doing the tour. I eventually booked before we knew for sure that Oti was doing it as well. |

I'm going on 12 Feb too, but my seat is floor row 2. I will probably need some advice for when we leave the arena.

Even though I can't see them myself, I am glad that Danny and Oti are dancing together on the tour.
![]() It would have felt wrong seeing Danny with someone else, no matter how nice and good they might be. It will be enough of an ajustement so see Oti next year with someone new (hoping that she's back). Strangely I think I will have less of a problem seeing her with a new dancing partner on the German show (hoping she's still doing it as well, the lineup and airing dates haven't been confirmed yet), as I see this as a different show where Danny hasn't been involved. |

But I normally do watch the German and Austrian versions (like the Austrian better, the German has great moments, but is nowadays sometimes borderline trash. ).Quote:

And it's not like they were just "standing around", they were doing Quickstep steps, just not in hold. |

Judging by Instragram, Oti is getting married. I thought that she already was. I'm thinking that maybe her and her husband had a smaller do before, but are now having a bigger wedding.
