Has anyone seen Dannys latest peek at training ? I missed ITT but have looked at it on BBC iplayer.
It is a short clip but you can clearly see the improvement. I had no doubts that once the routine had been learned, Oti would work on the technique and add back the topline which so far is looking fabulous. He is dancing actually quite an advanced variation called the 3 fallaways, which is the long group of steps coming down the room towards the camera. I am sure this is going to look very good come Saturday. I would like to see a more smooth rolling action for further improvement, but well done to Danny & Oti |

Danny's Viennese Waltz was problematic for me because although it was excellently choreographed and performed, the whole thing looked like it was being danced over speed bumps. It was very skippy and I do hope this is something that Oti can teach Danny not to do in future ballroom dances. It's only a small thing but for a dancer as good as Danny you have to look closely to find fault.

Yes. Just caught up with IT2. Even to my untrained eye, it looks great. The bit in bold, do you mean that he might be a bit skippy. Too much up and down?

Vicky Gill showed a sketch of Oti's dress as the "corpse bride" and it looks great.

I am looking forward to seeing what Danny will look like. Last year, with Jay dressed head to toe as a wolf, I was very disappointed that we could really see his expressions, which were excellent and which passed the judges by!

I'm rather hoping that with Oti as the "corpse bride", Danny will play the part of the (old fashioned) undertaker and be wearing a tailsuit.
![]() But for us, yes please, he 'suits' them so beautifully |

Yes. Hoping they have Danny in some sort of suit..... I think he'll be the groom...(Although "Take me to Church," is a love story, it's nothing to do with getting married.)
Oti has tweeted already. Excited, nervous and happy. Can you imagine how Danny feels!!!! (By the way.....I bet you make Mr. Jennifer wear tails!!!) |

What a shame....so much potential for a top score. Good. music, fabulous make up and costuming, great routine packed with drama, then thrown away by a lack of focus.
I feel Danny was carried away by the performance when he clearly needed to concentrate on getting through the routine with the technique Oti has tried to teach, I'm very disappointed as it was looking so promising during the week but he made it look very "cut and thrust" and much too physical. You can put plenty of power into a Foxtrot (in the right way) but this effort must not be seen, and must not be shown in the topline. Hopefully his fans will vote him back and he'll dance again next week. |

No question it would have been very good shame about the mistakes and really worried they could be eliminated tonight

I haven't used my DS account in about six years but I have loved Danny and Oti so much this year and I had to comment because I felt so sorry for them tonight. It could have been such an amazing performance, and everything was in place for it to be, and it's such a shame that it went wrong. Danny clearly felt terrible at the end of the dance, and Oti was out of sorts the rest of the night in the Clauditorium.
I have sent a lot of votes their way tonight. I really hope they make it through tonight and get the chance to come back stronger next week. I'll be incredibly disappointed if they're in the bottom two/eliminated. |

I actually really enjoyed their FT tonight, so please can someone who knows about the details of these things please explain just how "terribly wrong" he went in it? To my eye, he stumbled at 53secs and was then back on track at 1:00 and I can't see the "many mistakes throughout" that the judges saw; well, not beyond the usual imperfections that would be expected of a celeb dancer.
Was it the top line? Was there gapping? Genuinely curious, because the hyperbole the judges (and James Jordan...) were using made it sound like an Ed dance, and then they went and gave the dance an ok mark, which I actually thought was a fairish mark (although JJ thought it was scandalously high- idiot). |
