Why one earth are Michael and Prue walking around each other in circles shouting out the countdown?

Ah! That's where all the budget went on the ticker tape at the underwhelming end.

This is still dragging on isn't it?

My other half just said 'It's coming on. I think I'm losing the will to live'

To be fair though, it's on in the background while we're doing other things.

I lost the will to live after the first 2 of this and only commenting because this is under 4 in a bed. I did not think many people would have stayed with this after the first week.

They really needed anonymity, didn't they? There's no possible way anyone could have guessed who cooked what. *raises eyebrow so high they disappear into hairline and rolls eyes*

I can't see anywhere that says a second series has actually been confirmed. The only invitation to apply I can see is dated January 2016, which would be for this one. And the only report that says anything about a second series that I've found is basically 'dunno, watch this space'. https://premieredate.tv/tv-series/36...ease-date.html

In the meantime, a picture of Pete and Manu in a boat popped up on my Facebook timeline the other day announcing the next series of MKR Aus.

Well those two really stepped it up in the last two rounds, would never have picked them to win earlier on.

I hope the show returns but they learn from the mistakes in this series.

Well wasnt that the dampest of damp squibs? Im glad that the Scots won it despite the tacky ginger wigs 😨

Debbie saying the best team won through gritted teeth and fake smile was the highlight of the final for me. And what has Michael got on RB to blackmail him into appearing? ☺

Maybe RB hasn't recovered from the final disastrous series of The Restaurant and this was meant to be part of his TV rehabilitation. Wrong choice!

Now theres a series I had completely wiped from my memory!

The winners he picked were a couple of Hooray Henrys who ran a cocktail bar and couldn't cook. There was outrage on here, given that the whole thing was set up for him to open a restaurant with the winners, not a bar, so everyone felt they'd won on false pretences.

And there's nothing quite like DS outrage.

Binged watched this finally after a lot of time away! I like the way the incidental music changed from MKR to GBM... maybe to make Prue feel at home.

Glad Mam and Son didn't win... surprised she didn't slap him a couple of times. I think the right folks won but this understated delivery of the prog after what I guess we're used to on MKR Aus.

Now currently binge watching Masterchef The Professionals and have Masterchef Australia to get through!!!

This is about cooking. Is it the new rival to Bake Off, or is it meant to be a rival to Masterchef? (Discuss) I don't watch it, actually, but just wondered.

Neither. It's an attempt to cash in on the enormous popularity of the Australian version but with minimum funding and little thought to what makes that version so popular. At most, given the time it was shown, they must have been hoping it will be an alternative to CDWM.

And why would they need a rival to Bake Off when they have Bake Off?
