Another riveting episode ... where's the yawn emoji?
Some of these people don't seem to know as much about food as the average Come Dine contestant. And how is it fair for Caines to be giving tips like 'freeze the plates' when there are teams round the table who haven't cooked yet? I hope he'd already seen all the menus by then and knew no one else was serving a frozen dessert. |

I'm imagining if this does get recommissioned for a 2nd series there will be a few changes. I would guess the presenters/judges will be replaced, and Kitchen HQ will suddenly become red and black as it should have been all along.
The Australian version looks brighter because everything is much heavier lit indoors, and because the sunlight(for the outside shots) is on the whole brighter than here which we can't do much about .The contestants are also professionally costumed and made up which is why they look fabulous even whilst in the middle of cooking a 3 course meal for 12 people! I wonder if they thought the British audience wouldn't take to it being like that? I gave up on the whole thing after watching half an episode! I'll stick to the Aus and NZ versions. |

I thought you were keeping it to cure your insomnia? Could you not wait? ☺
Admit it, it's getting addictive isn't it? 😅😅 ![]() I wouldn't say addictive. It's just a Sheldon Cooper thing with me - once I've committed to a show I have to stick with it to the end. On the other hand, if I miss the first episode of something I can't watch it until and unless I can watch it from the start. Perfectly normal ... |

They can't be very good at their jobs then. All the contestants I've seen look like they've just crawled up an embankment after a de-railment.

Looking at Prue's hair they must be doing work experience. Or they hate her.

Hilarious attempts to inject some drama into tonight's episode.
They forgot the aubergine! Where on earth could they get one? Have they got enough time? Err...any supermarket and yes, plenty of time The menu sounds so much more appetising than any of the stuff served up at the other restaurants Bit unfair having a spacious professional kitchen to cook in though |

Love the starters - I've tried to make muhammara but the Syrian guy who runs the stall at our farmers' market makes it so much better! I'm really disliking 'Mam and Son'. As well as wondering what on earth she's doing in a cooking competition that's being judged by a Michelin starred chef when she appears to know nothing outside her own kitchen, they're really overdoing the bluff Yorkshire folk schtick. |

Surely 'Mam n Son' must rank as one of the worst nicknames ever? It shows the total lack of imagination and effort that's gone into the whole thing. I'm sure I recognise one of the Healthy Mums from something else she's been on but I can't for the life of me think what it was |

The look on the judges faces when Mam'n'Son were commenting on the dessert was priceless. Poor Mam looks totally out of her comfort zone. I do wonder why they are there.
The Syrian Siblings (what's wrong with using their names) are not very gracious about the scores. |

Something really started to get on my nerves during yesterday's episode.
Why does Micheal have to say '....out of a possible 10' almost every time he scores? I didn't think you were scoring it 6 out of 391 Micheal! ☺ |

Its blooming ridiculous. There were times yesterday where you could tell he'd said something after giving his score but it had been cut in the edit, I'm willing to bet it was '.....out of a possible 10'!

Is it my patience wearing thinner or is his delivery getting more wooden as the days go by? Maybe he lost the will to live as he got further along the competition. Prue seems to be in a world of her own.

OK Mam and Son are, if I may say so, utterly despicable. Is this the second group of people because I am sure I remember seeing some kitchen disaster with a completely different woman with wild ginger hair?
