If true, never had him down as some kind of quitter!

Mmmm - pinch of salt maybe.....

You don't get to be an Olympic champion be being a quitter

Trying to work the sympathy angle methinks.

It's hard for a great athlete to find out they are mediocre at something when they are used to being the best in class.

Yes, I agree about the sympathy vote, and maybe the journey vote too.

Not unusual for the celeb to want to quit during the first group rehearsals ... he went and sat in another room ... no big deal. Just a confidence crisis ... he doesn't want to look an idiot but this is Strictly. He probably WILL look an idiot at some point so he may as well embrace it He says he's enjoying it now so it was only early nerves.
Hope he does well.

Iwan 2.0? Obviously more likeable, mind.

I think he may have potential - could be this year's ginger horse.

don't believe him but I wonder if he will be good or bad I think he will either be up there as a contender or a total disasterous duffer

I think he'll last a lot longer than Iwan which will give Queen Nat the chance to work her magic.

Can't tell you how much i'm hoping that this is the case. We NEED Nat in for longer this year

Absolutely. Also, he would not be alone among sportspeople who have trained endlessly to get to the top of their field, to look at a "little" thing like dancing as being a relative walk in the park. Then reality sets in ......

Daily Mail = even if there's an iota of truth it'll be coated in such unnecessary bile as to make it equal to a lie = Good Decision VicsMum

Best not to encourage them...
Wonder if the Morning Star will have a Strictly column this year?

Only if Jezza was doing the tango in his galoshes on a cabbage field to "that" specific piece of music

I don't think it is lies at all. A lot of the article is in quotes.

But I do think he is deliberately setting expectations ahead of the show and, as mentioned above, going for sympathy.

Greg doesn't strike me as a dancer on any level, and so I have already set my expectations low. So I can only be pleasantly surprised.

As already predicted by the more astute, the competitive animal is rearing its ugly head.

Greg retweeted it on Twitter so guess he agrees with it....he's one of my pre-show faves but wasn't sure how this made him come across when i read it, particularly mentioning other contestants...

Well I was wrong about Greg. Enjoyed his performance. He had a good feel for the music.

I can understand it. He's the best, or certainly one of the best, at what he does.

here he wasn't and would have taken that hard

That's why he seems to have thrown himself into it
