I didn't see this thread yet, so I made it

1) Happy Laura did well, even if it was a tad dull
2) Judge Rinder-
3) So pleased for Greg & Natalie!
4) Naga was disapponting
5) So many ties!

What did you think of the show?

1) Loved the show as expected!
2) I'd have given Lesley a 4 but still, I thought everybody was surprisingly good and entertaining tonight
3) Judge Rinder was amazing! Really enjoying Oksana.
4) Len seemed extra grumpy tonight.
5) I'm already looking forward to tomorrow!

1. Judges were very generous.
2. Greg got away with it, I hope Natalie can get a big improvement from him.
3. Someone needs a word with Joanne, dance, don't sit on a bench.
4. Judge Rinder, he can dance but his personality is going to annoy me.
5. It's great to have it back.

1. Tess is, as always, a terrible presenter. Claudia is hilarious but Tess is so robotic and false. Hopefully Len will be taking Tess with him when he leaves.
2. I was expecting Greg to be absolutely terrible so to see him in the high twenties is pleasing. A lovely man, a good-ish dancer and he's got a great partnership with Natalie.
3. Judge Rinder is annoying.
4. Ore is pissing me off already. His personality will grate.
5. What exactly are they paying Neil and Chloe to do? Was 15 pro dancers not enough?

1. I liked the VTs actually coming from the training rooms - what an improvement! Keep it up!
2. Robert Rinder is amazingly athletic!
3. Loved Ore - I knew I would - but a bit cross with Joanne for that underwhelming routine.
4.I expected Greg to be really boring, but he was actually quite good!
5. I wish the show could always be short like this, just keep the dances coming, no filler. Really really enjoyed tonight!

1) Laura's dress while looking good was not practical for a cha-cha and got caught a good few times
2) Naga and Lesley were good but might struggle in Latin
3) I think Ore needs to calm it down a bit or we may get annoying but he was good
4) Judge Rinder was great, but the folded arms in a cha cha??? That kind of annoyed me
5) Greg was good but not top of the leader board good, he did use what he does to his advantage but it may not help him in other dances

1. All my first impressions of the celebs dancing turned on their head after I saw them dance
2. Naga was slightly better than I expected and really sweet
3. Laura was fun and so nervous but she may start to grate on me
4. Grey it's true had so much presence on the dance floor and their chemistry was actually pretty hot. I was surprised how much I enjoyed their dance although not sure much dance technique there yet
5. And ore - loved him the launch show, gradually realising he could one of my most annoying celebs ever. Just too much in general

Really enjoyed the show

1) Laura not quite as good as I expected, but I am still behind her 100%!
2) Rinder is tv gold!
3) Judges didn't pick up on Ore's hunched posture
4) Naga far more elegant than I expected. I put her blunders down to nerves.
5) Greg is a revelation! He looked so natural in that jive!

I agree about Ore. The problem is that people like him will hope that this show will make him more recognisable to the public, if he plays up to the camera as he did and consequently more work in BBC sports programmes. Why I've no idea.

As an observation on "Wardrobe."

I though a couple of the female professional dancers knickers (Oksana Platero and Natalie Lowe) seemed briefer than last year.
(Men notice these things).

1. Judge Rinder was the BUSINESS! If he keeps this up, he'll fast become a favourite of mine.
2. Ore danced well, but suspect he may get of my nerves. Didn't like Jo's choreography either.
3. Greg did much better than I thought. Pleased that his arguably least-suited dance is out of the way!
4. Tess was poor as usual. So stiff and cringeworthy. Claudia rocked it though!
5. None of the dances were too terrible. Looks like a very good standard this year.

Will do another five for tomorrow's lot tomorrow.

1. Show kept moving, the time went by so quickly
2. Hated the audience booing Craig's comments, which I thought were constructive, and he said some nice things to each couple
3. Greg was fab, really looking forward to seeing how he progresses
4. Training videos have the producers remembered our comments from last year
5. Wish that judges had marked lower, nothing wrong with 5's and 6's for the first few weeks, and 3's and 4's

Why Judge Rinder ? His name is Robert
Robert is going to annoy the hell out of me
Greg and Natalie are like Greek Gods
Naga is stunning
Ore trousers were ghastly

1. Sick of Bruno already
2. Ed Balls acting matches what we have seen of his dancing.
3. Quite like the "new Ola" - sorry haven't caught her name yet.
4. Liking Rinder and think I will like the actress from Eastenders.
5. Might just bet the house on Claudia Fragapane now.

I think she'll do well but the dress they chose for her was terrible.

1. Judge Rinder!!!! Ah May Zing! Loved the attitude and that he attacked it with gusto! Seriously fair play to him!

2. Laura and Giovanni really want them to do well and love her and her attitude, but as with last year and Georgia, forgot them instantly.

3. Am impressed with Naga and think she's one to watch.

4. Joanne and Ore. when you have someone that good there's no need for Olympic record levels of faffing. The bit of Tango they did was very very good. More dancing please less faffing

5. I really really really miss Aliona 😢

She's had a few weeks to get him up to an acceptable standard for his first performance.
I'd suggest the "faffing" was an attempt to disguise that he's not as good as you might think and what he did (it was the same either side of some "faffing"}, was all he could manage.

"Faffing," is a professional dancers "ploy." Used many times over the years.

1) Greg or Robert should have gone on first. I think that would have made Laura and Naga dance better as I think the nerves would have been reduced
2) 7's are too high for a first show. Let's see some scores development
3) Ore needs more supportive underwear or dark trousers
4) Lesley looks exhausted and her pairing will be her disadvantage cos of height
5) Greg Rutherford looks mighty sexy with a spray tan

1. They all did better than I expected, except for Ore and Laura
2. I think Joanne will let Ore down all series long, her routines are just not good.
3. Greg is the one who surprised me the most, he was a bit overmarked...though
4. The singers were dreadful
5. Claudia should carry the show on her own.

1. Judge Rinder was awesome. He filled me with joy and he should have been top of the leaderboard.
2. Joanne may be a good dancer but she's a crap choreographer.
3. I'm liking the Laura/Giovanni partnership much more than him and Georgia last year.
4. Loads of potential with Greg. I'm so happy for Natalie.
5. Kevins hat I have a feeling he's going to be worse than last year with the theming

1. Love the opening titles.
2. Laura gave a great performance and has bags of potential.
3. Ore and Jo's Tango didn't create the right mood.
4. Greg and Natalie were awesome.
5. Thought it was lovely Linda Robson welled up watching Lesley

I'm going to cheat and give 6 as there were 6 contestants.

1. Lesley was boring, but I blubbed when Linda Robson blubbed
2. Ore was great, but I like a more dramatic tango theme so was a bit underwhelmed by the theme.
3. Laura was good but is too tall for Gio (I'm still bitter that he didn't get paired with Anastacia, as they would have been hilarious, and I love her but have NO time for Brendan)
4. Greg was pretty good (but overmarked), but what stood out the most is how happy Natalie was to have someone young and fit, god bless her
5. Naga and Pasha - nice. That is all
6. Rinder - HILARIOUS - I suspect he'll get on my last nerve in a couple of weeks but as a first dance it was just so much fun! A rare combination of a "comedy" contestant who is actually good too

Kept saying the same last year! Yet can't seem to get her off your mind

Really loved Gio and Laura's routine... A few awkward moments but she's going to be great and I love the connection. Best girl on the night, imo.

Was pleased for Greg because wanted him to do well and he's out of his comfort zone but I feel he was a teensy bit overmarked, and I'm wondering how well he'll do with more expressive (and slower) dances.

The judge fella was amazing. Oksana worked out she could trust him pretty quickly! Think they're going to be a great pair for choreography.

Ore... I expect tango isn't the dance he'll be best at (unlike Greg who m i g h t turn out to have been best at his opening dance), so in a way Ore is more top of the board than Greg is. In a convoluted way.

Man In the Hat was there!! Trev wrote a blog last year. Hope he does again. He posts it up in the attic, if you don't know.

Cheeky sixth: It's Back!!!

Giovanni overdanced Laura.
Laura is not as good as I thought she would be.
