Didn't like Rinder pre this but thought that performance was fantastic
Ore best dancer for me but madly irritating and agreed with Len about choreography
Lesley- lump in throat strangely moving.. Anton way too tall though and will be watching Latin through fingers!
Laura- meh.
So happy it's back.

Aww I liked GG they were my second faves easily by the final! But truthfully early on I struggled to remember their dances which was the comparison I was making. Certainly not by the end were they forgettable! 🙂

1. The show didn't really excite me at all - very disappointing.
2. Wardrobe had their usual disasters - only this time pretty much every costume was a disaster
3. I can't understand why Jo thought that choreography was a good idea - no more faffing, Ore can dance! The bit of Tango he did do was the only real highlight of the night.
4. So glad Greg has potential, but Natalie has a lot of work today!
5. Lesley was far better than I expected - she and Naga did practically the same choreography at one point (the bit Naga messed up) and Lesley danced it pretty well!

Loved the confidence/performance from Rob (for a first dance) and hes got rhythm too - good pairing with the lovely Oksana.

Didn't think it was possible, but AJ is looking even younger than he did last week!

Nagas neck was too straight and her hand placement wasn't good - small details that would have improved things and shes more than capable of doing, but I guess nerves came into it.

Greg didn't impress me as much as he impressed the judges (in comparison to the others)

Ore has got lots of potential, but not connecting with him yet. Early days.

1. Robert RInder and Oksana clearly the new Mark Benton and Iveta / Jake Wood and Janette
Someone who can dance well, has great rapport with their partner and is not afraid to show off
2. Clearly 6 reasonable couples tonight
3. They haved save the outstanding - and real dross - for the Saturday show
4. Ore - watch what Peter Andre did last year and DON'T do that.
Stand on your mark and shut your mouth when judges make their comments.
5. Oksana !!!! - Ola who ???

1) Solid starts from Laura, Naga & Lesley

2) Just knew Len would criticise Ore & Jo's intro for being too long but I loved the whole thing & Ore looks like a great mover!!

3) Greg & Nat were brill to watch, so glad she looks like she mignt have a contender this year!!

4) Not sharing the love for The Judge so far!! He buried any dance content by fooling around & pulling silly faces for me!!

5) Great to have Strictly back & looking forward to seeing the rest tomorrow night!!

1. Rinder needs to calm down
2. Ore needs to calm down (or Joanne does - or both)
3. Laura should have straightened her legs
4. Lesley should lower her shoulders
5. I'm glad Strictly is back!

1) Hope they don't keep called Robert Rinder , Judge all the time , and he was good, loved him

2) You can see lesley was gonna do Just OK this week, with king of the waltz Anton but she wont last

3) Len was right, too much faffing at top of the Dance for Joanne and Ore

4) Loved Greg and Natalie

5) Tess is still as HOPELESS as ever

1. Greg was much better than I was expecting and The Jive is not easy.

2, I think Oksana is lovely

3. Rob Rinder can dance but he'll have to watch the facial contortions

4. Laura and Giovanni were good but.....sorry......forgettable. I still think he's creepy.

5. Lesley will never improve her posture....she's too short for Anton, in hold.

1 Judge Rinder taking SCD to a whole new level
2 Not sharing the love for Gregg
3 Ore wasn't great
4 Lesley was better than I thought but she shouldn't have been chasing Anton to keep up with him& she looks too short for him, Nice routine though
5 AJ may be growing on me like Giovani did last series
6 (Cant help myself) Laura was the disappointment for me

1. Actually loved Laura/Giovanni's costuming (even the deconstructed laurel wreath).
2. Oksana is my new Gleb: beautiful, entertaining, unafraid of cheesiness.
3. Naga makes me anxious with her anxiousness. Not going to enjoy her.
4. Ore/Joanne's VT, costuming, and dance were twee-ishly awful.

I noticed it too--at first thought Nat had lost her skirt. This is a trend that's been happening on the US DWTS for a long time, starting with a few ruffles stitched to the back of their knickers as a "skirt" to dancing in ever briefer swimming costumes.

1. I seem to be in a minority but I love both Tess and Claudia - Claude's dress tonight was just awful, but as always her personality shines through

2. Robert Rinder great fun and obviously very fit, did anyone else notice that the routine was very similar to Patrick and Anya's, and not just the music? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fQy6vIlnUjU

3. I agree with Nina, Ore's posture wasn't great, surprised none of the judges picked up on that

4. Laura not as good as I expected, but looked absolutely beautiful

5. Overall a great show and hooray for the training videos!

1) Loved Greg and Natalie. Better than I thought he was going to be, and I'm sure with Natalie's help he'll continue to improve.

2) Judge Rinder and Oksana- amazing on many levels. I knew he wouldn't be shy, but he went for it even more than I expected.

3) I like Ore, but I wish he'd been partnered with someone else. His enthusiasm coupled with Joanne's is going to get irritating very quickly (a bit like Kelly and Kevin last year for me)- especially if the faffing and stupid themes continue. (which is a real shame because the tango he did dance was great- minus the face pulling at the camera)

4) I'll be interested to see how Naga gets on in the Latin- I think she's going to be good. Thought her waltz was good, if a little dull.

5) Laura and Gio, Lesley and Anton- meh. (although I did actually like Anton's choreo )

1) I was really surprised at how much enjoyed Greg's dancing. It was quite messy but rhythmic and relaxed. Well done Natalie!

2) Yes I did enjoy Judge Rinder's performance. However I have a feeling that my enjoyment will lessen considerably after three weeks of him unless he offers something different to what is essentially a parody of the dance style.

3) I enjoyed Lesley's performance a lot more than other people seemed to. I thought she had a nice easy movement in her legs and feet. Her posture was good at times but difficult to maintain due to the height difference. In retrospect I agree with those who say she should have been partnered with someone different.

4) I thought Laura was very forgettable. Sorry. Without straight legs the cha cha cha loses its wow factor.

5) I didn't like Joanne's choreography at all and I didn't think Ore was that great. Quite good, but lacking in pickup and core.

1. Didn't expect to be so entertained by Judge Rinder. I did watch through my fingers and with my jaw hanging wide open, but I was totally entertained!
2. Yay Greg and Natalie! What a relief, he has potential.
3. Too much faff in Ore's performance, damn it Joanne!
4. Loved Laura's confidence and charisma.
5. I miss Aliona. Woe.

1. So pleased that Strictly is BACK!
2. Why do the Clifton's always produce such cheesy dances, hated it.
3. Tango's are so often ruined on this show by inappropriate music and themes, makes me so sad as I love a good tango.
4. Loved Rinder's performance, highly entertaining, hopefully his posture and faces will improve in time.
5. Much as I love Natalie and so want her to do well this year, that dance was way over marked.

People only seem to be pointing to Laura's bend knees and not Robert's.
Laura danced a cha cha with some mistakes and Robert just moved around shaking his hips, very minimal cha cha content.
Why give couples a certain dance??.

1. Laura did well as the opener, must have been terrifying. 'Venus' just doesn't translate well when singing live with an orchestra. Would have preferred a proper party song to kick things off.
2. Conversely Greg was the perfect closer. For a very big guy that jive was very good and his personality is fantastic, he threw himself fully into it.
3. Judge Rinder was a revelation, so unexpected. The energy did lead to sloppiness in parts. Oksana seems the perfect partner for him.
4. Ore is a fantastic dancer and I actually like him. I liked the routine interestingly; not sure what else Joanne could've done with that song.
5. Lesley and Naga were the most nervous on the night. Lesley needs a shorter partner. Now I'm not wishing injury on Anton but I think Neil is smaller

All in all very good first week dancing. Don't know why but I'm looking forward to Gorka and Tameka the most tonight

I agree that Lesley's footwork was really good, better than Naga's actually, but the top line let her down for the reasons you mentioned.
