I'm not as bothered about dance ability as long as they try and don't look crippled with embarrassment. I think he'll do ok

Conference starts tomorrow as well. Ed should have some good news before mid-day to put him in the mood

Not at all. It's not that difficult to do a nice enough waltz. It's not like he's attempting to dance the samba or something.

) dancers in the early weeks.Quote:
As would most of the viewers. Not every one has natural dance talent and not everyone who has can become brilliant.

I think we should be worried about next week when Ed and Lesley have latin dances.

I think he's lucky he's got the waltz first up, that can't be too cringe can it?
If he's around long enough to do a samba or tango though that could be car cash TV.

A recognisable name away from the soap actors, minor or past pop singers, or current sports stars, is supposed to make it a bit different from the usual reality rubbish. For me this show is now only worth recording, as I'm sure it is for many. We can then skip through the nonsense and concentrate on the elements that interest us. It's always only "average," at the beginning of each year, with the hype greater than the worthwhile content. But I always enjoy the professionals group dances, we should have more of them. |

Nope. I always think it's great to see rather stuffy people letting their hair down. He can only give it his best shot.

Don't understand why anyone should be 'dreading' a contestant doing his/her best.

In the opening show he danced like stung by a bee, I am not worried
It might be mediocre, but it won't be a disaster.

I think hes going to be useless and probably first out. He's only there for the money anyway.

Well I'm not dreading it at all, I'm looking forward to seeing him dance and I like what I've seen of Katya so far too. I like a good mix of personalities and abilities in the early weeks, at least until Blackpool.

Can't say I'm excited about him, no.
That said, I was wrong about Greg - so perhaps Ed may yet pull off a competent waltz. Even if not, I don't dislike him as a person, at all. |
