I thought there were some pretty big hints in Friday's episode that Shirley and Phil is going to happen again.

It's getting ridiculous now. The three of them are like The Witches of Eastwick.

Sharon acts like she couldn't care less if Phil dropped dead one minute and the next he is the love of her life. Make up your mind, woman.

Shirley continues to care about him and pine after him when he treats her like shit most of the time.

The whole thing is bizarre.

This!! They are both treated like shit by Phil but they keep coming back for more For some reason being Phil's doormat turns them on, and being with Phil does their characters no favours it just makes them look desperate and pathetic

Kathy needs work, she has been disserviced by awful writing upon her return..

Phil needs to be rested as a character for at least a year.

Shirley risks being one of the few Carters left as I convinced Tina & Sylvie will be leaving soon as well as Linda, Lee & Babe.

Sharon needs a new Business and she needs to stop being Phil's door matt.

We have to remember that Sharon is afflicted by the same illness that Mick has - being utterly, invariably stupid and moronic.

I'd like to see Phil and Shirley reunite - its obvious she's the woman for him - but not an affair behind Sharon's back. I'd like to see Sharon leave him first after finally coming to the realisation that she doesn't love Phil and Phil doesn't love her and that their entire marriage has been a sham.

As for Kathy it would be nice to see her and Phil develop a friendship as co-parents to Ben but I don't see anything romantic happening between them. I think that ship has sailed.

All three women need direction but not necessarily having to constantly be about Phil.

I think out of the three, Shirley is the most astray and at risk, Shirley had a whole family created for her and they've done nothing for her character is anything she is worse off then before, she is a extra in their stories when she should be central, we've had her sulking over Phil for years now, make a decision about what they gonna do put her back with Phil or allow her to have a proper role in the family that was created for her, Linda off soon so this would be the perfect opportunity to show the head of the family role they always went on about for her.

Sharon, I don't even begin what a mess they've made of her of late, I think many want a definite decision about her relationship with Phil, the roundabout has gone on far too long and we need a answer, rather have her stick with him for the foreseeable or have a clean break because we are all bored of it now, they need to work on what the hell is she doing, constantly fluttering out the door to nowhere without anything too do this is not Sharon, give her a job, business anything, I know we have a potential s/l with Dennis but again her mothering skills are pretty crap.

Kathy, probably a mistake that they can't erase, she has a good position she has the Beales and she has Ben, she could be back in the thick of things but its all rather marble, she there but does very little, her affair with buster been just a sub plot that didn't even get a show down, put her back in the Cafe and work on her relationship with Ben instead of having Sharon and Shirley play the mum role.

The problem is, it's gone around in so many circles, will anyone care? Two successive EPs have made a pigs ear out of this situation, are we looking at a hattrick? Unless there are dramatic improvements with these characters and soon, I'm in danger of not giving a stuff at all about any of them.

Perhaps SOC will announce Lisa Fowler as his first new signing although technically she would be classed as a returnee.

I never liked Lisa Fowler, I thought she was miserable and brought all her problems on herself. I hope she never returns.

It will come out at some point that Buster was cheating with Kathy, and while being unfaithful seems like a prerequisite for living in Walford, Shirley won't take that very well. Hopefully no one has a stray gun lying around in a nightstand or duffel bag.

I agree, although Phil was a c**t to her, she brought a lot of it on too herself with her misery guts personality.

There better to kill her off and have Louise deal with that, it never made sense how she just let her 14 yr old daughter go live with Phil after doing everything in her power to keep her away from him and then effectively abandon her daughter with out giving a shit.

They all just need to get away from Phil then they will be fine

Its such a horrible disgusting message to send out aswell that if a guy abuses and treats you lie sh*t you should keep doting on him because maybe if you do it enough he will change, guys like that don't change and they how needs to stop shoving that message down our throats
