It's not an uncommon reaction on DS.

Well listen DR , when she first appeared in Eastenders I really could not STAND her .At all. She ground my gears something chronic for months
. Then somehow she just grew on me despite her still being that same noisy opinionated explosion of glitter and curly wigs . She hadn't changed , yet I grew to quite like her and really on Strictly she is behaving as she does in Eastenders . LOOK AT ME ! is how she is. She dresses for attention and opines for attention and her exuberant laugh is possibly cultivated for attention , but I like it all .But then I couldn't stand the over rated winner last season and nearly everyone else hearted him beyond heartness, so my taste tends not to follow the herd (no disrespect to anyone intended) .I prefer someone with a bit of zap and character, can't be doing with twee or simpering .
The point being, try to endure her and you might find enduring turning to quite liking .Maybe .

.
.For sure it wouldn't be classed as complimentary .
