1. I hope people vote for Ed. He didn't deserve to be bottom of the leaderboard.
2. Daisys 9 was ridiculous. I hope they don't continue as it will turn people like me against her and i don't want to see Alijaz go yet.
3. I love Will and his wacky dress sense.
4. Louise needs to sort out her dress phobias (if indeed she has them, if not she needs a stern talk with Vicky Gill)
5. Danny was brilliant and should have been top of the leaderboard. I have no opinion on his personality yet as he's an unknown to me and i haven't seen enough to judge

1. Quite harsh comments for Ed! He had plenty of rise and fall, and was really graceful, I thought.
2. Daisy's waltz was lovely. Easily the prettiest, most fluid ballroom routine of the weekend. Just hope that 9 was not just to balance out a potentially bad Latin score next week
3. I really enjoyed Tameka and Gorka's Paso, surprisingly! Tameka nailed it, got the mood exactly right, and the Spanish flourishes were fab. I quite like their partnership, too. So far, so good.
4. Really felt bad for Anastacia when she wobbled. Hope she doesn't beat herself up about it too much.
5. I'm very much in the minority, I know, but I'm not mad on Danny. Maybe part of that is because I think he has that glitterball in the bag already and it's only week one (judging by everyone's comments, he's the first man to ever move his hips on Strictly ). Fingers crossed it's not a one horse competition already.

Bonus #6. Will's trousers. I know that's his thing, but

1- OTI YESSSSSSSSS SO HAPPY FOR HER
2-VERY well choreographed routine from Oti; I hope they make it at least to the finals.
3-Joanne; too much time faffing about; she didnt do ore any favours with that routine; just mediocre and I am putting the blame mostly on her since she is the pro because her celeb looks like he has potential.
4-Oti and Danny best 1st week chacha I have seen in AGESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
5-YAY strictly is BACK

Over the two nights:

1. Stand out......Danny and Oti, Louise and Kevin, Will and Karen, Daisy and Aljaz

2. WOW.......Greg and Natalie, Ed and Katya (much better than expected!)

3. Potential......Ore and Joanne, Anastasia and Brendan

4. Laugh out Loud....Rinder and Oksana (a cross between Russell Grant and Tasmanian devil), Tameka and Gorka.....made the most of that dance!

5. Others, Louise reminded me of Rachel Riley (sorry) but I think will get better unlike RR.

Really enjoyed it!!!!!
Scoring was ludicrous..........where can the judges go after giving 9's in week one?

2) Impressed that for once there was actually some decent music played at the right tempo, and appropriate for the dance. Tameka should think herself privileged to have been given such great paso music, especially as she couldn't even seem to say the word Paso, let alone Doble!!!!!

3) Scoring was way too high. No one on week 1 should get more than a 5, or 6 if outstanding for week 1. Len messed up by telling Daisy hers was the best dance he'd seen in week 1, so as he'd already given out 8s, he had no option but to give her a 9. But, pleasant though it was, it was full of technical errors.

4) Anastacia also way overmarked. 8 by Craig???? It was a weak dance, and full of mistakes.

5) Didn't like the tight jeans-like trousers wardrobe have dressed some of the guys in again this year (probably giving last year's trousers a second outing?) but credit where credit's due, at least someone has taken the trouble to sew up all those hideous gaping pockets they had last year.

Overall, a great first week, that promises for a good series.”

She couldn't dance a Paso Doble , so that music was wasted.

1. Loved the opening dance on the Saturday night with the children, etc.
2. No favourite yet. Don't dislike anyone enough to want them to go first either though. I think there are too many already able people this year - nothing against them as people, just the danger there is that they have no way to get better. It gets a bit meh.
4. Everyone else I know is going crazy on Danny so if I were a betting person that's where I'd put my money - I don't know if that's why I haven't taken to him yet.
5. Favourite dances for me - the long jumper, Lesley and Daisy - and the judge was fun. Rooting for Naga, Ed and Melvin to come back and knock everyone's socks off next week but not really expecting it.

1 - The opening dance was very nice

2 - Melvin's trousers made my eyes water

3 - Thought some of Ed's comments were a bit harsh - I thought he had some rise and fall going on

4 - Oti's choreography for their Cha Cha was brilliant - they were surprise of the night for me

5 - Have there ever been so many people scoring 30+ on the opening weekend .....?

1 Loved the opening dance too - proper ballroom dancing, proper costumes (almost), loved the children especially - very good and very brave

2 Glad Natalie has someone with potential - enjoyed their dance. Have seen Greg in a couple of TV programmes as 'himself' - rather than as an athlete competing - and he came across very well.
Glad Oti has someone with potential - good first dance and good Cha Cha. Don't know a thing about Danny, so no idea how he'll develop

3 The trousers!!
Come on War Drobe - get the men some decent trousers to dance in - they don't have to be ultra fashionable

4 Suppose the actual marks for the dance don't matter much as it's the Scoreboard order that counts - but over high marking does make a difference when 2 weeks are added together

5 Hope the few 'beginners' don't lose out as they're up against so many with dance experience, or at least theatre training.
I don't mind a few 'ringers' - they can be 'journey' contestants too - but there are so many this year the beginners don't stand much chance in the early weeks

1) Seeing someone as tall as Greg doing that jive was a personal highlight this weekend
2) Anastasia and Brendan are becoming one of my more favourite couples when I didn't really care for them beforehand
3) Daisy Lowe has the most beautiful smile, hopefully her Latin is good
4) I honestly think Lesley and Anton will go next week
5) Great standard for week 1, roll on next weekend already

I was wowed by Daisy. If all models looked like her (not skinny with bones) I'd buy a lot more. She was graceful, beautiful and strictly need a tall man. Bring back Zoe's partner (sorry) from a skinny with bones x

You can't deny the dance knowledge of some

Well done Louise for doing something that didn't bore me to death

Greg, I have a little crush, did more than I hoped

All scores were too high. Where's to reach for?

Each dance stands on its own merits and scored as such
