I'm cringing at the amount of blatant set-ups in this one episode alone, are people really buying any of it?!

Vomit inducing at the moment.

Its always been this way. Hardly anything genuine about it really. We are still watching though.

Never as blatant as this series.

Surely no one is stupid enough to believe any of it is genuine, its part of the show now unfortunately, you just have to accept parts of the show are fixed. I hate this side to the show though, that scene at the end was just ridiculous and so blatantly set up and tbh just wasn't necessary.

It seems more blatant in terms of screen time = progress.

You could have watched with the sound off and known that Luca and Luena were going home, simply because neither had ever been seen before.

Predictable and so transparent, really insulting to the viewers

You are right! But audio overlays and different mic feeds / effects are new or at least for me it is overused since 2015

But there's usually someone who gets very little airtime who makes it to the lives, which means they haven't picked up many new supporters.

They perform first at the start of a very long episode before being told by Louis that he doesn't really remember them & Simon says they don't stand out and are a little boring.

Basically week one fodder.

Yup, I think the chair challenge is pre-decided. How else would contestants who don't manage to sing in the right key throughout be heralded as brilliant and gifted by Nicole who is herself brilliant and gifted musically. It makes no sense.

Referring to the show as a competition is blatant misrepresentation especially when they charge for some forms of voting.

They should be forced to call it something else

...... also suggesting it has anything to do with music. It is after all a cheap way for Simon to 'develop' someone in the industry.

Lol the judges have their faves right from the very first auditions, tgats why some people can mess up hard but still be thrown a lifline in the latter stages, there is no doubt that Cowell has a shortlist of people he would prefer to sign and hes very bad at hiding it!!!

Clearly it is with Honey G, the most fake contestant ever

What is the point of having chairs and swapping contestants from them? It hasn't improved the show in anyway, it's only made it worser.

Regrettably it seems that more and more TV shows are going the way that X-Factor is heading now - scripted and directed.

Just Googled 2016 6 chair challenge and it appears that all didn't go smoothly at the filming in July. The audience apparently went mental at some of the 'so-called' judges absurd decisions.

Time the great British public voted with their feet and stopped parting with their hard-earned cash during the live shows. The winner has already been decided!!

I can see this episode resulting in a dramatic dip in the ratings. How much longer can this show survive?

Just when you thought they might actually play fair, they go and throw talented people under the bus for a couple of cheap, very un-likeable, time wasters. Absolute tripe.

As soon they are out of this show, it will be straight to CBB in 2017

It is killing off the show. You only need to look at this forum. Few people care apart from the show thread and that'smostly to rip the piss.

Its done, whats left is embarassing.
