i hope it's not melvin, i think he has a lot of potential but was ruined by janette's quite self indulgent choreography. i thought he was reduced to being just a prop that she danced around.

It will probably be Ed, but I wish it could be Tameka. The last thing we need is another screeching harpy from Eastenders.

I voted Ed, but it could also be Melvin, IMO. I think they both will be in the dance off.

I don't see Ed leaving first. I think he will play up the comedy card to keep him safe for a few weeks.

It depends how much support Ed gets as 'the underdog' to escape the dance off. Quite often people like Ed get the votes in the first week, and its the quiet under the radar ones like Naga that end up in the dance off. If hes in the dance off, I think he'll be the first out.
If he escapes it, likely to be Melvin. |

I think the public "might save Janette," she has her fans and I'm one of them.
She's a superb ballroom and Latin dancer. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wagl2zLOs4 |

Assuming positioning stays the same i think Ed will be fine. Whoever is at the bottom of the leaderboard is usually safe. I think Melvin and maybe Naga might be bottom with Melvin going.

I think that Melvin will leave first, unfortunately.
Ed might go in week 3 or 4. |

Ed was much better than I thought he'd be, is obviously trying very hard to improve and is doing his best. Melvin was a sad disappointment. Being memorable for hideous trousers and not having any hip movement does not suggest a long stay. I admit he is not responsible for the trousers.

I have voted for Ed however I think it could equally be Melvin, I suppose it will really be down to the public and do not forget both Labour and Norwich City Football Club fans may vote for Ed.

Ed's never faired too well with public votes, and Melvin (or anyone else who ends up as a bottom two shocker) will be saved over him. Lesley should be carried through by the Anton vote regardless of her Latin, and ditto Naga by the not-at-all-creepy female BBC Breakfast presenter vote. So yeah, I'd say Ed.
(I don't actually want to lose any of them, which is novel) I really hope it's Lesley it makes me uncomfortable to watch her. |

It should be Lesley - for the sake of her health but I think it will be lovely Melvin. Janette did him no favours with that stupid routine.
You're supposed to showcase your celebrity Janette not make them look silly. But then we know how limited she is with her imagination and in the brain cell department.

Based on this week, I suspect it could be Melvin (lovely guy though) and I would put a great deal of responsibility down to Janette for some questionable choreography.
It could all turn around next week. Ballroom puts the focus on the dancing (as it is difficult to make it too showbizzy unless it is a tango) and so would be more of a challenge for Judge Rinder and sadly Melvin. Latin gives celebs like Ed and Lesley a chance to blag it a bit with some crowd pleasing stuff. However someone like Naga may find it more difficult to give a big performance. People have short memories and are more likely to vote based on next week. |

When they have someone with limited ability they try to make their partners look better than they are, by deflecting the attention of not so much the judges, but of the voting public. So they get voted for, as a couple. There was no need to get so personal about a dancer you obviously don't like. But "we all know" that's DS all over sometimes, isn't it? |

I have no time for Balls politics but he showed Guts to have a go knowing he could set himself up to be ridiculed and unlike some previous acts he took it seriously....... I hope he doesn't go down the comedy act route and continues to take it seriously and as a result he may well get to week 3 or 4....

And as a side note, are there really people out there who think that Danny or Louise will be first out?

I think it'll be between Ed and Mekvin, I think they could both score lower next week (I don't see Ed being great at Latin and I gunk Melvin won't be able to show as ,cub personality on Ballroom so his lack or technique will be more obvious).
I think Naga could be in danger too depending on how good her Latin is. |

I voted Ed (esp if he has a latin) but I would be surprised to see Melvin or Naga being knocked out
