Apparently the Ghost of Exams Past is floating around, no doubt to take us to a glorious realm of One time Strictly where none of the celebrities had ever even put one foot in front of the other and Natasha Kerplunk reigned supreme with Brenda.

Then the Ghost of Exams Present will come in showing us Strictly today where Louise, Danny, Daisy and Will dance (expertly) around a furnace in horns and forked tail bedecked in outfits (a sack in Louise's case and Huckleberry Finn shorts in Will's) embroidered with scarlet "R"s for evil ringah.

Onto the Ghost of Exams Yet To Come in which the Strictly world is populated solely by Cliftons of all generations. They're everywhere - Pros, Celebs, Judges, Presenters, the band, the audience - even the man in the hat is a bloody Clifton. The world is shocked to the core and declares anyone with any dance experience ineligible. The following series has 14 sports stars and Mary Berry.

AJ dressed as Tiny Tim expostulates, "God bless us everyone!" and the world implodes.”

Ah, now that makes sense ! I was wondering if I should go out and top up my nursing degree and use dance to enhance my patient care .And all along it was just a simple Dickens tribute .
But as an aside now I am thinking that the idea of being dressed as Christmas Past just made catch on for the Yuletide Shifts
