No, watch it back when Moira says "Ross tried to kill him" she meant Pete. Moira didnt find out about Ross shooting Robert until after new years eve.

yeah you are right enough

but as the family are already well aware of all his other attempts to kill Pete I don't see why the shooting of a neighbour would make much of difference to them
