I love her ad libbing but the written jokes and dressing up can be awful. Funnily enough I hated the long jumper one that most people loved and I enjoyed the elfish one last night.
The AJ stuff could get stale very quickly. I love her best when she sees the funny side of something and can't stop giggling even though she should be straight faced. |

Love her and I love the silly bits in the middle like this.
Also laughed at her giving AJ that pyramid toy as a present. AJ took it in good part too. |

I find her hilarious. I don't think she'll ever be able to top throwing marbles onto the dancefloor last year though.

Claudia's humour is perfectly pitched for younger viewers, but with an anarchic twist that only adults can get. Reminds me of the original Danger Mouse cartoons.

I'm not a young person but I find most if not all her humour affectionately funny. I rather liked the earlier comment that if it don't work, just move on, which she does. She's more in tune with the audience, clebs and dancers than Bruce ever was. My better half, last series, didn't like her at all, not one bit. But she watched Room 101 with her guesting. She really was very funny indeed and my wife now admits she got her wrong.
Claud makes this show better than it was - maybe it's the way she squints through that fringe of hers at Tess. Love her ![]() ![]()

Agreed, although at least with Bruce it stopped at just the joke. Having Claudia actually dress up as an elf was just embarrassing for both her and the show in my opinion.

She's great. Love the daftest she brings to the show. They play up the knowing silliness of things like the Elf outfit which is what makes it funny.

Or like an in joke it coudld get funnier and funnier. Lots of successful comedy shows have used an on going gag to good effect. I don't suppose the first time Mrs Slocombe referred to "her pussy" it was more than mildly amusing. But after a few weeks and you can see it comeing, you are waiting for it, you are on the edge of your seat and then bang there is the pussy gag. It delivers something other than humour, more a sense of belonging and being one of the 'in the know' group.
Time will tell if it dies or gets funnier. |

The difference is that Brucie laboured his joke if it didn't get the reaction he wanted (which meant all of them) - Claudia just shrugs and moves on, keeping the flow of the show. Unlike him, she knows the show isn't all about her!

This^^^ Totally agree. I must admit, I do find some of the humour somewhat cringeworthy, but I like the fact that once she's made the joke, Claudia moves straight on. That's what makes it tolerable, despite being cringeworthy.

Claudia and her jokes are fine. It's wooden Tess as her jokes foil that's the problem. For me anyway.

Love Claudia.
Love Newzoids take on Claudia and Tess. Don't labour the AJ jokes though - not fair, and don't want it to turn into the "Kevin from Grimsby" saga. |

From what I remember, I think she just took a literal take on losing her marbles. The way she did it made it funny.
Thanks.

I love Claudia's honour most of the time - she's just so deadpan and uninhibited.
