Wow

Will they even show already filmed stuff?

Pointless character though and wont be missed. Wouldn't mind the rest of the family going aswell. Except Zeedan he's ok

Oh lord. How silly and stupid of him.

This sounds a tiny bit selfish but at least the crap affair plot going on with his character will end. Poor Kate. Her first big controversy already. I wonder how she will deal with this.

They could have one of his chickens read his lines in his place. They are all equally competent actors in their own rights, but one of the chickens in particular commands screen presence and has a great deal of charisma.

That would make a bit more sense although he looks even older than that in my opinion.

What an idiot posting deeply offensive crap like that on Twitter when he works for a show like Corrie that has a reputation to upkeep. He must've known he was playing with fire.

What a stupid man. I was actually enjoying his storyline. I wonder how it will all be explained because they've probably paid the deposit for the flat etc. Suppose they could just say he's done a runner because of his guilty conscience.

Can they bring in another actor to replace him and not have to cut the storyline short? They usually do that with children but adults usually only change when they've been away for a long time.

I think the affair storyline was the first sign of her arriving on the soap too, she obviously had a big plan for the Nazirs, a shame for the other actors that this storyline is dead in the water, hopefully they can still salvage it.

As for Marc? Good riddance.

The word is Peter Barlow is going to take over his part. The one stipulation is he can't be seen necking from any bottles.

Canned a bigot and got rid of a Nazir. Good news all round.

They could have him die of a massive heart attack off screen. He could be in bed with his bit on the side at the time.

Presumably he'll die suddenly off screen, and I suspect a large number of new secrets will be discovered around Christmas. The affair reveal can still happen, especially as the other woman will still be living in their house after he dies and acting bereft. There's still room for plenty of drama with or without the actor.

What a bloody idiot!! Can't see him getting work after this!!

Edit: By 'with immediate effect' does that mean we won't see him onscreen again or just he won't do any more filming?

That's not a thing... There's no expectation of 'free speech' for messages submitted to a private companies website.

The actor will probably struggle to get work.

Aye, but that doesn't apply when you say silly things and you're in the public eye...

Unless you are a shitty celeb like Kanye or his crappy in-laws.

Well duh. Of course it is freedom of speech. Unless someone had a gun to his head and forced him to do it

We are all entitled to say what the hell we want. Every single human being. That doesn't mean what we say is always right or acceptable. The remarks he put can actually get you in trouble with the law. And if you were a lawyer arguing his case and you said "my client said these things because it's freedom of speech on his own personal twitter", you would be laughed out the court room. The freedom of speech defence is one of the most pathetic excuses people use.

Anyone who makes excuses for comments like this said is as bad as them as far as i am concerned

Wasn't the original plan for Sharif to have him die soon after arriving in the Street? I thought I had heard that a couple of years ago.

I don't know what's more shocking, the fact that he's allegedly 45 or that the Mirror claim Sharif is a "popular character". Not round these parts.

Nevertheless, I like the Nazir's so it's a shame his stupid actions have led to this. I do like an earlier FM's idea that the reveal could still come out in the aftermath of this exit, with the family left to pick up the pieces without him there to account for himself.

You get what you deserve. Stupid man.
