Sorry if I am being dense, but I didn't get what joke Claudia was trying to do with Ed. She said Will had a Chess board, she had Buckeroo, I think she expected some reply from Ed, who just stood there. As they went to Tess she said "no" at him. What was the joke?

I don' get it either . I don't get a lot of Claudia's whacky attempts at humour but I do like that she's left field and unpredictable .

Well I took it as that Buckaroo can have certain sexual connotations about it and Claudia said she's a buckaroo kind of girl, already getting the innuendo in there.

Ed just very nonchalantly replying yes was funny because I thought he was in on the innuendo as well. Him saying he was a buckaroo kind of guy is just unexpected and funny.

I may have it completely wrong, but that's what I got from it. And I laughed!

Will's chess set.

Claudia's Buckaroo. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Buckaroo!

I think she wanted to know what Ed Ball's favourite board game is, but he's such a politician with no personality he just stood there looking scared stiff.

Well, I got the joke (assuming it was about board games )

Ed was wary of Claudia and what was coming next because it sounded like she was going at him, as if she were a political interviewer getting tough with him or there was some bad feeling maybe. He looked like he was suspicious of Buckaroo and what he might be getting himself into, a real long time digesting it.
It's no good anyway, the only game is Mousetrap, followed by a game of Operation with your drunk friends (on the most drunk one)

Hmm..

Should I start a poll?

Should Claudia go?

Will it make any difference?

Of course not, she's staying. So why the "she must go posts?"

So I won't bother.

I suspect the man's brain was full of the one thing he'd already said three times since the music stopped, 'I did it better in rehearsal'. He'd done his simple routine better in rehearsal, such as it was, and he probably cared about that. That speaks well of him IMO.

That's what I love about Claudia too! She's just so bananas it's funny. The elf thing was so weird I just laughed at how bizarre it was

Some years ago she was described as 'mad as a bucket full of frogs'. Don't know what it means but it fits. I like her.

Totally agree. He'd have been going over every step, every mistake.

Yes, because Claudia clearly writes her own script. And should definitely be axed for Ed messing up a joke in said script.

This forum is beyond belief sometimes, truly...

I am aware of that, it DOESNT alter the fact she is childish and pathetic

sadly I am also aware the BBC wont get rid of her, that is one reason I haven't suggested she should get the boot.................

Can't wait for them to axe Claudia, her 'humourous' comments and laboured puns are pathetic - and the dress-ups even more so. (And it's no good blaming it all on her producers, anyone who used to watch her interviewing in ITT will remember her style was just the same there.)

It's time the BBC gave some serious thought to a new presenter.

Well, when Brucie left for good, they did give it some serious thought. It was quite a few months between his departure and a replacement being announced...and would you look at that....those chose Claudia. They chose well.

No need to replace her. Tess on the other hand...

A firmware update would suffice

You'll be waiting a while.

Just because you personally don't like someone or find them funny doesn't mean they should go. I hated Bruce, lots of folk liked him. That's life.
