Already unlatched
We have 2 samsung phones on o2. Bought from O2 at same time. I recently sent a request to o2 to unlock mine and sure enough received a code. Put a vodafone sim in. Prompted for code and it duly unlocked.
Anyway..decided to do same with my wife's phone. However they came back saying no code given as phone already unlatched. Tried that vodafone sim in and sure enough seems to work. I know...a long story to get to my question but how come hers would already be unlocked? Did they just forget to lock it at the factory ? |

Could be as simple as o2 ran short of stock and bought a batch of unlocked phones to tide them over while they awaited a new delivery of o2 stock or bought from a different retailer?
