Well donesies

I've joked about this with my friends.
I think you would make a fortune with "well donesies". The first restaurants to only do well done meat and veg. Phone two days ahead for the cabbage. Utterly revolting but it's a niche.

I wouldn't order steak.

I think most of the carveries have already tapped this market. (Yes, I know, I'm sure that are exceptions, but I haven't been to any of those.)

Ha! Yes I think you may be right.

I can't think of anything I like well done. If a meat can be served pink, that's how I like it, and otherwise I like it just cooked - never well done. Veg has to be just cooked, or just under. I like pasta al dente, rice with a bite, eggs runny, I even like my toast pretty anaemic.

The only exception I can think of is bacon - I like it crispy, and I like crispy crackling too.

My mum has been cooking that way all of her life. I grew up on cremated meat and over-boiled veg.

My mother in law could be the head chef there. Beef isn't "done" according to her until it is grey and dry all the way through.

Same here. Chicken is the only meat that I have just about cooked, everything else is pink at the least. I even like my bacon not too done.

Same here too. Although bacon depends on if it's in a sandwich or not. In a sandwich I like it crispy, on a fry-up not crispy.
