Changing your professional name when you get married

As a Spanish girl, the thought of changing my surname just because I married someone is ridiculous to me. I know cases where the woman has become famous during her first marriage so she has had to keep it when marrying her second.
Nothing of those issues would happen if every time the woman keeps her surname that she was born with.
(And I am not necessarily a feminist.)

Katya Jones has taken her husband's name as well, whereas Karen Hardy goes by her maiden name - all a matter of personal choice!

She's changed her Twitter to Laura Kenny already, so clearly not keeping her maiden name!

Clearly they don't see any issues if they have no problem changing their surname, the issues only exist in DS posters' heads.

But that just happens to be her birth surname. She is not married.
