Couldn't find an existing thread about the new season so thought I'd start one.

I enjoyed the return of Grey's especially the focus on Meredith and Alex's friendship and their loyalty. I'm not really sure where the story can go with Alex now, if he is charged surely he can't work as a surgeon.

I really hope this season has some good storylines for Bailey, I felt she was quite underused last season.

I'm still struggling with Jo's character, she's become so whiny. Maggie was also a bit moany in this episode, I normally quite like her character.

Loved the focus on Meredith and Alex too. Eager to see what will happen to Alex

Jo is awful. Very annoying. She never used to be.

Great to see there will be real consequencies to Alex's beat down of DeLuca. I feared he'd get off scot free.

Cant stand Jo the last couple of years, liked her in the beginning.

Love Riggs flirting with Mer - that could grow on me.

Love Alex shame the writers went there as Alex has matured so much in ten years.

Best part for me was Kepner putting mother Avery in her place - "That's your baby, she's my baby" - Followed by Bens church and state bit back at Bailey echoing the end of last season

Anyone know what season AMC UK is on with showing Grays Anatomy. I got it set to series record on AMC and been watching some of it at the weekends.
I do know AMC has shown all of season 1 and that I have seen season 1.

According to the AMC UK website Season 3 finishes tonight.

Jo and Steph must be very close to finishing their internship, I'm sure they re fifth years all of last season, maybe Jo will go and work elsewhere. I used to like Jo's character too, she was strong and determined, now she's moany and always playing the victim. She was furious Alex didn't mention to her he'd had embryos frozen with Izzy yet she hadn't mentioned she was previously married.

Just caught up with episode 2, glad Alex is being punished, he shouldn't get away with what he did, but not sure how the storyline can progress without losing him as a surgeon except for him to get off with it.

I didn't find Jo quite as annoying this episode.

I wonder when we'll see Arizona again, it weird both her and Callie being missing, but I guess that depends how long Jessica Capshaw had off after having her baby.

I loved the mention of the Denny Duquette Clinic, I always wondered what happened to it, it seemed to disappear when Izzy left. It was such a big part of the show in the earlier seasons it'll be great to see it back on screen.

Jessica Capshaw is only absent for the first two episodes. I had no idea Jessica was pregnant until an interview with Shonda a few weeks ago.

I have been disappointed in the lack of mention of Callie. They don't seem bothered she left. Even in her final episode, she barely appeared and quickly had one last scene with Arizona. Anyone would think Sara Ramirez pissed the show off but she left on her own doing and most of the cast said in interviews they were sad to see her go. Quite shoddy to treat a character like Callie in that way. Especially as she had been with the show since mid season 2.

Jo is getting worse. She's making the situation all about her. It wasn't her who was attacked but she's walking around and acting if she was.

As for Alex, i was concerned about his future but with Bailey's offer to help out in the clinic, it does open new stories for the character as he essentially doing a job that is beneath him after all the years he worked hard to be able to do the job he was originally doing.

It frustrates me that not ONE person even Meredith has quizzed Jo about what really happened. None of her backstory adds up with what we have seen of her. The end of season nine where she destroyed that guy enough to almost kill him it doesn't match with what's happening now.

I think they've taken Alex ten steps back for a soe character who has become less and less likeable every season she's been on the show. I hope DeLuca ends up telling someone about Jo at the end of the day he's at the end of his first year meaning he has literally known her as a colleague for a few months, they're not even friends and her lies nearly resulted in his death yet he's still keeping up the front.

Also considering that 12.22-12.24 were set over a matter of days and Kyle has basically been dead for no more than 3-4 weeks on screen HOW has NOBODY mentioned him once. Stephanie is literally back to normal and palling around with Amelia when lasg we saw she never wanted to see her again.

-@:9 yes they should definitely be finishing up there residency as they entered fifth year in the season 11 finale in which time April has managed to get pregnant and give birth at fulll term yet nobody seems to have mentioned it. Even Webber didn't use it when convincing jonnog to run away.

That happened because nobody knew she was leaving. The deadline for renewing contracts is June 1st and the show wrapped at the end of April. Sara had shot those scenes and decided to leave after without even telling anyone she was leaving. S Honda found out after the finale was wrapped and had plans for Callie in season 13.

I'm getting really fed up of amelia and her issues. It's never ending especially for those of us who watched p.p. Why have they married hunt off again to someone who doesn't want kids.
It's very obvious now that jo and deluca will get together. I wish they'd just get rid of all the interns they're so unlikeable.

THis is the first season I've considered switching off. Webber is the only character save for Jackson who is remotely likeable these days and he's just a record on repeat being all wise and same same

I could never switch off GA. Plus i think it's too early to write this season off. But i never expected season 13 to top the amazing season 12.

I noticed in this episode there was a lot of covering up on Amelia. Like they were hiding a pregnancy. And they are. I looked online and it seems the actress is pregnant with her second child. They were doing all the classic signs in this episode. They were filming above her waist and they had her use her handbag to cover her stomach

I wonder what her temporary exit storyline will be.
