Don't get me wrong, there's nothing wrong with ambition but in my opinion she's lacking serious likability, which a lot of these contestants seem to forget that it's pretty essential that they have this, considering it's a public vote and a lot of younger females do vote.

I seem to remember her storming off when she didn't get through last year either.

She's got the talent, but so did Misha B, and look how that ended....

Same shes not that great and does not do the shouty thing too good, Dont like that hairdo do either its too manly and she comes across like a female MMA FIGHTER.

I think maybe it's down to the editing more than anything else. Alexandra didn't really get the "arrogant" comments until after she won.

They really did set up Misha B though.

Since when were at least 3 of those mixed race? And let's turn it around and say that some on here - not aimed at you - throw the race accusation at anyone who doesn't share their, extremely predictable, favourite.

No, I do think that Gifty's arrogance is definitely a turn off, especially seeing her attitude even last year, when she was a nobody at bootcamp. I remember thinking to myself even then, "who does this girl think she is?"

Please don't be so insulting and assume it's a race thing. It's not.

Leona Lewis is mixed race and is one of the most likeable contestants ever, breaking that boundary of a female winning a show like this.

Alexandra Burke was likeable during her stint as a contestant, it was only a guest judge that it went downhill for her.

With some of the others, it was very much stories in the past which came out about them which tainted them, Tamera Foster being involved in gangs etc, Rachel Hylton being involved with drugs etc.

I don't seem to remember Fleur or Hannah ever being slated for being unlikeable .

It's about attitude NOT race. Katie Waissel and Cher Lloyd were unlikeable in 2010, yet Treyc Cohen WAS likeable.

There has been no stores in the papers or media about Gifty not being likeable. it is just nonsense brought up by the usual element on this forum.

If she's the black girl with blonde hair, I don't have an opinion on her personality. Liked her audition and boot camp but hated her shouty trying too hard in the 6 chair challenge last night.

Totally agree and quite a few have said the same. Maybe some of us are just bored with being told 'you're wrong, I'm right' by certain FMs who would say their personal obsession of the series was best on the night even if they sang like a cat having it's nuts smashed between two house bricks

You're missing the point. I'm not saying there has been stories. What I'm saying is the attitude she portrays to the voting public isn't one where young girls or middle aged women will pick up the phone and vote for her. It's not. She comes across as overly competitive and is missing serious likability. In my opinion.

Well I am certainly not racist I just find Gifty looks tooooo masculine and some people like myself find that extremely off putting. I don't think anyone here is being racist tbh.

Look I pointed out a list of Girls who happen to be mixed race as at some point they have been called arrogant and unlikeable there is plenty of posts to back that up at some point on this forum whether you wanna take that as me calling you a racist than that's your problem, there is deffo a pattern tho
