With the recents revelation that it's possible that The legendary Mitchell sisters will be killed off it's got me thinking of all the other characters that were killed off that shouldn't of been.

Which character do you believe should never have been killed off and why.

Den Watts Steve Owen Pat Butcher and Michael Moon from EE and Carl King ED are the ones that spring to mind

Tony Gordon.

He should have served a long stint in prison before eventually returning to the cobbles as a reformed man. Ideally he would reconcile with Maria and resume being somewhat of a father figure in little Liam's life.

Emmerdale's Carl King and Robbie "son of Megan" Lawson

I was so angry that they killed off Carl King, they've been able to get a character as good ever since

I think Ross Barton was Carls replacement, problems with his dad, black sheep of the family, good with women and a bit of a bastard at times.

Tiffany for me will always be number 1.

I love Ross but Carl had much more to him

Should have been 'fixed' before her exit and given the fond farewell she deserved rather than die lonely in the cold while that annoying ***** Sonia was smugly digging her claws into Martin.

I'm not sure, both are great but I think Ross has made a lot of impact in only a few years of being on the soap. Ross is a lot more physical, Carl was obviously a lot more clever but I can honestly see Ross becoming an Emmerdale legend if he stays.
