He hasn't ruled out another return and he stated he wouldn't mind coming back for brief stints. However, he said he wants to continue doing his documentaries.
If they want more Mitchells, they should bring back Sam. Daniella deserves another chance, in my opinion.

Possibly but his returns recently haven't really been all that. Did they even speak to each other when he was back?
I would be more interested seeing Glenda and Charlie than Grant for a stint if R&R were to be killed off

I really hope that does not happen, she was crap beyond words, it was pointless bringing her back she added that much.

I genuinely don't get the fascination with having her back, at least with someone like Courtney you got some mileage.

With R & R going I think there is a place for Sam and it should be Danniella in the role. After bringing her back three times since Kim it would be ridiculous and ruin the character for good to switch to Kim now. Even before they gave Sam a personality transplant in 2004, Kim failed to capture the essence of the character IMO. She just didn't fit with the family.
Sam is generally a supporting character so acting ability isn't high on the agenda as long as whoever's playing her can get their lines out and move around without bumping into the furniture. Looking back at old threads on here from 04-05 Kim was slated for her acting as well. Most of the negative comments on Danniella aren't even about her acting (which is fine for Sam IMO) they're about how she looks which says it all about the shallow people posting them.

There getting rid of shed loads of characters, to bring back Sam would be insulting , the character is completely trashed anyway, you want some decent acting to watch having someone with a hammy acting ability and just shooting out lines and stays in the background like a extra is completely counter productive when the show is on the downer as it is.
My opinion of DW has nothing to do with how she looks, I think how she represent herself speaks for itself and EE would be unwise not take on somebody who could be a potential liability to the show.
The Mitchells need new blood, not the same old crap they churn out all the time, its about the next generation if they got any chance of surviving.
As for Grant I found much of his return disappointing and would only want him back if Ross could/would commit to a decent amount of episodes in succession. Grant's too big a character to make bitty appearances. It dilutes him.
I know the timeframes that were being bandied around about his return were referring to how long Ross would be filming and not screentime, but people got confused and were always going to be left disappointed with a couple of brief cameos, one episode, and then two weeks with a break between them.
It's not even like they used what little time he was around effectively. His return should've been used to draw a line under him and Sharon/Sharongate for good, with Sharon and Grant giving in to temptation along the way for old times sake. Instead all of that played second fiddle to the pointless reveal of him having a secret son (the silly accent and Michelle writing a letter to Peggy aside I didn't mind Mark in the end but the whole thing was a box ticking exercise on DTC's part) and the offensive vigilante justice plot with Ben which turned the hitherto well handled (if poorly paced) story of Paul's death in a homophobic attack into a farce.
His feelings re: Sharon weren't properly touched upon. A lot of their interaction was a waste. It was obvious when Peggy died Sharon wanted to bed Grant but when he popped up again she was talking about him as though he's the devil incarnate.
His return threw up a handful of good scenes but other than his necessary presence in Peggy's last episode it wasn't needed, and was far from the event television people suspected it was going to be back in January.

I didn't mean to infer that you had said anything about her looks Harlowe. Most of it has been on Twitter and Facebook (though she does have a fair few fans on the former too) although there has been a few out of order things said on here IMO.
Don't care about Grant, but if it means more of the farcical sitcom style 'Mitchell Family Mafia' stuff then I'm all for it... Haven't cried with laughter at how bad a soap could be in a long time.

Oh I know you didn't but was just saying it has nothing to do with how she looks for me, its how she acts and I just don't think she has a lot to offer for the show in general.
