Haven't really missed him at all tbh

Wonder if he still has what it takes to do well in the streaming era.

in this case I hope it gets the Madonna/Perfect Illusion treatment and fails to gather a decent chart position and passes by without too much attention

shame on you wishing bad luck on someone. I like him. But he is a male star and the misogynistic radio players will lap it up and the press will applaud ...a stark contrast to the treatment of female pop stars above the age of 30.

Ahhh...did the role in the Norman Wisdom bio pic fall through?

Shame.

Obviously very early days but the preview of the title track has garnered less than 15,000 views on youtube in a day (unless it's the usual YT trick of verifying the views before showing the true figure but only 71 comments would suggest the figure is accurate).

Does not say much
as usual he is employing the " take my shirt off" routine (see Rock DJ/Feel) which will always create interest from the housewives section
and probably sobstories in the Sun this week to gain attention

I'm pretty certain Sia, Kelly Clarkson and Florence, to name just 3 off the top of my head, are over 30 and do very well. You're talking claptrap.

And to be honest, Radio 1 will probably ignore it (do any under 25s care about him?) which will leave the middle of the road Heart FM and the like playing it for the tone deaf middle aged housewives.

Some artists chart better with albums. Look at Craig David. His recent singles didn't reach top ten, but his new album looks set for a top ten position on Friday. The same could happen to Robbie

I reckon he's more an album seller than a singles artist right now. I could be wrong though! I quite like his lead single, probably cos I'm partial to a bit of Prokofiev. RIP at it always being referred to as The Apprentice theme tune. Kinda like Dvorak's New Symohony being called the Hovis advert...

I'm enjoying playing this album over and over in the car. Is anyone else enjoying it?
