I just thought the snow angel comment was an attempt at "showing personality", or maybe a figure of speech in Finland that translated awkwardly and didn't go over well because it is not a figure of speech elsewhere.

Hi everyone I'm new to the forum! This is a very long comment btw, feel free to just scroll down

I really liked Saara's first audition with 'chandelier' and there was never I doubt in my mind she'd get to the lives.

That being said, the reaction of the audience and judges to her performing in French was uncalled for. Nicole's comment about "you're not in France" was uneducated and silly as Saara wanted to show a different side to her by performing in French - her love of languages, which is also one of my passions.

A slightly negative reaction was expected from a mainly British audience who generally don't bother with any language other than English, but the aggressive shouting was too much. She probably thought, mistakenly, that like her, the audience would welcome her singing in other languages.

She of course didn't help herself by introducing herself as a 'snow fairy' as though she had some sense of entitlement, which she feels she does have given her career as a voice actor, with the 'snow fairy' possibly referencing her Finnish voice acting in Frozen. I think it was mainly this self-entitled attitude that alienated people from the get go.

I felt really sorry for Saara - her first performance was amazing and the audience and the judges apart from Sharon loved it, and then Sharon just seemed like she wanted to get rid of her straightaway

I didn't like the way she came back on stage, but I think the reaction of the judges and the audience was completely unacceptable. I'm all for singing in other languages (I love languages ) Personally, I don't think this is the right show for her

Also, I don't get why people are bothered about her "snow queen" comment. I thought it was cute and introduced herself pretty well

I still wonder if Saara chose to come back, or if someone behind the stage encouraged her to do so. It didn't seem like anything she would normally do. I don't blame her though. She did a fantastic performance and was obviously shocked and disappointed. Sharon's reaction seemed a bit scripted to me. Anyway, I'm happy she got the wild card.

I agree. I bet there was a producer waving his arms at her just off the stage to stay out there as it didn't seem very natural the way she came back out.

I like Saara too. More eccentric than i imagines but she might be fun. Google youtube and her song ^No fear ^ really well done either the umk or music video version.

Hey Nick ....nice to see you.

While she won't be winning, I think she has the potential to last longer than people think. A Ruth Lorenzo style run maybe?

I don't really think that this has any relevance to her music tbh. She is okay, but too Eurovision for me, which I guess she is going to be anyway.

Why would that be a booing offence..

And why would nicole have told her off for it as well....”

Think it's got to do with the darker side of politics. So much of XF is hidden behind closed doors. When Saara sang in French I felt she was taking the piss, and that Nicole told her off for it.
