There is no question that Honey G is nothing more than a prank.

IMO she just went on for a bet and didn't count on getting this far

Some people on social media like her, but will they be so forgiving if she manages to knock out one of their other favourites

And if she fails on this show, she is more than likely going to be on CBB along with the Tinfoil Twins

So what part of that post is "defending" her then ?. How exactly is pointing out that someone takes themselves seriously "defending" them ?. Or do you not actually understand what the word "defending" means ?

Anyway, you've completely missed the point of the post by a wide margin.

People are claiming she's a "spoof" act and have mentioned on other threads that she's a "prank" played by Cowell.

If that were the case, how come this "prank" act has a history in the industry ?

Surely to pull off such a "prank", Cowell would simply hire an actress to play the role of "Honey G" ?. Surely that would be easier than establishing someone in the industry first ?. Or am i applying logic to blinkered Cowell-hate ?.

The fact that she has a history in the industry proves she's not a "prank" played by Cowell and that she is not a "spoof" act. Yes, of course she's terrible, but to claim she's a "spoof" or "prank" act is just inaccurate.

It doesn't prove anything. As I said earlier in the thread, it's completely plausible that she was once more serious about music before doing the spoof act. It would easily explain why she seems to have been around a while. It doesn't necessarily mean Cowell orchestrated the whole thing though, she could have been doing that act when they found her.

There is not a single ounce of professional appraisal or credibility on behalf of the judges or production team that has gone into her making it into the the life shows. She has been selected purely as cannon fodder. I would feel sorry for if I didn't have my suspicions that she is not as thick and unaware as she makes out and is eIther in on the whole joke for the column inches and 15 minutes of fame she will get or is some sort of performance artist and this character is just a front.

I was asking for you to defend that she has a history in the industry. Apart from a comment made by her that she was a DJ but had to give it up, there appears to be no history. You were very specific about her relationship with SC so maybe you could explain where you got that from. Maybe you should consider my earlier reply and answer the question rather than attacking me and missing the point.

Finally, in my opinion she is a joke act as there appears to be little talent. She doesn't rap in time - not that I think rapping is particularly musical in any case - and when she did sing at judges houses it was thin and off key. Personally I think putting through was an insult to the obviously talented contestants that were sent home.

..... and sanity as we try to get rid of her every week and the judges keep her over talented acts. The frightening thing is that she will probably guarantee the tin foil boys go further than they should ie week one.

When they entered Sharon's house and the glasses stayed on, all I could think was, what kind of doucheberry wears sunglasses indoors?

She is cannon fodder for the TV show before the singing competition gets real -
The producers keep their fingers crossed that she is always in the bottom 2 so she can't get further in the competition.
One day the public will gang up and make one of these people the series winner.
Hope its Honey G.

There is no hard evidence that she does have a history in the industry. All we've got is a blog article from 3 years ago and a YouTube video from last year.

She tried to rap Coolio's track and wasn't even in tune. I just see her as pure comedy. She couldn't even rap the words in time to the beat properly.

...... Which answers the question I was asking. So there is no evidence she has a connection to Simon Cowell or that she has had anything but a passing relationship with the industry as an amateur whatever. Not understanding why the original fm I was responding to was so hostile to the question.

If she's serious, she's not very good.

If she's a spoof, she's not very good. She's not even funny?

I thought she was a shaved John McCrirrick.

In all seriousness though, if she isn't a prank then I feel like they are exploiting her - in a worse way than usual. They usually put through a 'novelty' crap act, which this year is the two camp guys, to manufacture a bit of 'drama' for ratings, but the act themselves are kind of 'in' on the joke. They may be somewhat delusional but tend to know they're not there because they have fantastic voices.

But those who are truly delusional, to the extent that you almost think they have a carer backstage, tend to be rejected at bootcamp at the very latest. I just feel that Honey G, again, if she's not a spoof act, would fall into that category and that putting her through all this is just cruel.

This individual has GOT to be a spoof.

And she knew she was coming back, even when Sharon said she can't take her any further..............

'Sharon has made a mistake letting me go,' she said. Even at that moment, I KNEW she would be back.

She is too ghastly for words.

I am done with X factor now, after she and the chicken-gate fools got through to the final 12.

X Factor needs cancelling. Load of utter rubbish.

X Factor is an Entertainment show. The more controversial the Acts, the more viewers. So if a lot of people tune in to see this Honey G, or to vote her off, that's success in the producers' eyes.

load of crap.unfunny.toe curlingly embarrassing...and yet...I fear she actually takes herself seriously..don't know why so many people are determined to believe its a spoof...there REALLY are people that deluded.you only have to take a look at your local pub karaoke every weekend.Cowells instructions to put her through and inflict her upon us for hopefully not too long have only served to increase her absurd idea of credibility.

Exactly. It's all about viewing figures and you can bet that she and the two brats will be kept in for as long as the producers can even if it means booting out another act.
