Anelisa was the biggest loss for me

She became one of my favourites after her bootcamp performance, so to lose her tonight was a huge shock, especially after the judges' plaudits throughout the series.

I thought she would go through as well but she was pretty bad tonight. Mind you, I'd have given her a chair above Samantha based on previous performances

Yep I can not believe she went I thought she was a definite given for judges houses! She was one of my favourites was sad to see her go! Her talent is amazing

Was she the last one on the overs? Just posted on another thread that she was my favourite. Such a shame. Maybe should've been the widcard.

AS was proved with Jennifer last year the show is not keen on artists like this however good they are. A shame really.

I must admit I was disappointed in her song choice as it's been done to death, especially at Six Chair. Was hoping for something more contempory as she smashed Work from Home

That was her. To not be selected as either the replacement or wildcard is an insult

She didn't handle the pressure very well, and also it was the wrong song choice for her to sing.

What screechy shouty Divas ?, we get them every year. Yes she was good at her audition but tonight she sounded like a cat that had it's tail & testicles caught in a lawnmower. In her audition she did have soul, sorry but tonight's performance had less soul than my backside after a Vindaloo. Anelisa rightfully got sent home.

Yeah but other people who messed up with their song choices were given second chances. Favouritism really. Anelise ****ed up by singing that song. What impressed me about her, especially in her first audition was that she didn't shriek and then she goes and does that. Still, if they are doing wildcards I don't know how they can't bring her back. Jennifer was my favourite last year and Anelise this year too, so looks like disappointment again.

She, Ivy and Samantha have similar vocal ability (Samantha has projection and consistently good dynamics, Ivy has somewhat broad range and good tech for the most part,Anelisa has a rich voice with a warmth to it), all have "good" voices ,but Anelisa is the most soulful and she has shown the most good taste and artistry overall, so, while I appreciate all three, I'd have picked her over the other two.

Who wants to listen to all that Whitney Houston Melisma thing every year, it is done to death? Last year showed me that you someone (Louisa) could have all the technical ability in the world but didn't know how to interpret a song. She didn't even understand what she was singing at times. Singers like Ivy are just copying what came before there isn't any soul or originality in their singing and actually nobody wants to listen to that stuff outside the XF audience anyway.

Anelisa was the biggest loss but she took on what is one of the most difficult songs to sing and failed. She might have tried an Adele or Dusty Springfield song. Poor choice.

I really liked her but unfortunately she choked. I agree that it's unfair that some got a second chance but not others.

Amazing Grace is not difficult to sing well. She seemed to go into stressed out mode and oversang ,probably thinking she had to hit notes like the two who had a bit more range than her to compete when her tone and ability could have been enough.

I agree that there are many more suitable choices, but they have a very limited list of approved ones to actually choose from, and may be told to sing something they don't want to.

She did have a rough performance, but still better than others who were not sent home, and her voice is beautiful, and I am sorry to see her go.

I must say that, based on her previous performances and the general reaction to them, I had felt sure she would get through. Although I didn't like her as much as most of you did, if I had been choosing based on her earlier performances, I think I would have put her through. Last night's performance was a mess, though. Based on that, she didn't really deserve to go through. Sadly, she messed it up for herself.

I would probably have swapped her with Relley or Samantha but the real crime was letting go of Marianna & neither of them being Ivy's replacement!!

Anelisa would do far better if she applied to go on The Voice where they cater for more genres of music, where as XF is so limited in the types of act they are looking for.

I agree. Gobsmacked that Marianna was not kept - she's streets ahead of most of them. That Sharon! ggrrr!

I was gutted that Analisa didn't get through. Think the song choice let her down big time because she stood out at BC. I even thought she came across as better than Gifty in that group. She stood out more and that song Work really suited her plus she could perform and blew the other two away.

Shocked that Honey G got through but then another judge chose her for Sharon so even if she didn't get a chair she was still getting put through to JH - pathetic wouldn't be surprised she knew about it all along.
