Six Chair proved what we already knew: Louis is as useless and annoying as ever.

They should have left him on the moon.

Why do that to the poor moon?

I say... sit him down on that Irish bus with his big fat head on the side and leave him zipping around Dublin endlessly for the rest of his life.

i hate watching him but lets be honest he has made some smart and wise decisions with his boybands in the past

Louis Walsh did what Louis Walsh was supposed to do - no doubt one of the conditions to him coming back. He has to act like an indecisive, un-informed idiot who lets others influence him because he cannot choose the "best" artists.
it allows Simon talk about what an idiot he is and the hokey cokey of the 6 chair challenge to occur.
Hey, if Louis is idiotic enough to comply and portray himself in that way for money and fame who are we to care.

Louis knows what he is doing and Louis knows what works for the X Factor.

His initial swaps were actually good but then messed up when Simon and co. told him he got it wrong.

Louis Walsh makes the XF even more ridiculous than it already is.

He only has 2 routes for his acts - (a) dull, insipid, boyband balladeers or (b) OTT, camp 70's glitterball disco

So expect The Brooks or 5am to be suited and booted, sitting on stools until the key change, air grabbing and singing Mandy by week 4 added to the chicken brothers being camper than Christmas and performing the entire tracklistsing from Louis's worn out 'Now That's What I Call Disco' complete with glitter, feather boa, glow sticks and outfits that Jake Shears would refuse as being OTT

He was following a script.
The script is now working for them as the controversy is all over the web and media.

Failure will come in the following weeks as people turn off as will be seen in the ratings as SCD trounces this show.

What you on about he's always been a joke but he does crack me up!

To be fair he has made successful bands he just doesn't try anymore but then it's the producers not the judges

Did he? Or has he just surrounded himself with talented lackey's like Simon Cowel has.

I think he was brought back simply to be a fall guy for Simon and it is working.

Having said that the Six Chair challenge is amongst the most cruel of scenarios I have ever watched on TV.

It's cruel anyway, but how Louis ran his turn last night was even worse.
He gave all the first six acts a chair, that was automatically going to cause an issue.
I didn't rate Girl Next Door at all, I thought they sounded dreadful, but to call them back then dump them was appalling.

I thought Louis made some surprisingly good decisions in the 6 chair challenge actually. Sharon and Nicole were the ones in his ear making him change things. He got rid of the two camp guys and he was right about having too many girl groups, but the producers clearly had other plans and fabricated this silly forced drama that everybody is now talking about.

They knew what they were getting into when they went on the show, if they can't handle it then the music industry is no place for them, record labels say no everyday - they got a no - yes they should've just stayed off the chair but showbiz is a hard business and that's just the way the cookie crumbles. + XF is all about the drama they would've known that they were average anyway

The Six Chair challenge is not cruel. It's just naff. The contestents know that the XF isn't a singing competition and when they are asked to take a seat there place hasn't been finalised.

It's an alarming fact that this nonsense still gets prime time slots at the weekend.

Doesn't say much for the people in this country when the ratings are sufficient enough to keep it on air because so many get sucked in by this scripted drivel or keep watching it in spite of the manipulation.

The only way to end the pain is to vote with your remote and watch something else.

Exactly !!! Louis is very well paid to just follow his script ! The whole thing is decided before any of them hit the stage, all the drama, all the putting off chairs, bringing back to chairs....wildcards...etc. Louis plays his part very well.

Yes, Louis has prostituted himself to a certain extent by allowing himself to be portrayed as a clown who knows nothing about music, when in fact he has been working in the business full time for the last 45 years. He's known to be a passionate music fan too and attends gigs all the time.

This thing about Louis being someone who favours joke or novelty acts is the biggest myth of all. How many people know that Simon Cowell made his name by recording albums with the likes of Zig and Zag, the Teletubbies, the Power Rangers and Robson and Jerome? This is the supposedly serious and credible record label boss unlike that 'idiot' at the other end of the table.

Your post made me smile. Did anyone notice if he had his notebook with him this time or is it too soon have to wait until the lives

It was the right move when they got rid of Louis, the mistake was hiring Grimshaw to take his place when it could of went to a male singer or a manager/producer who isn't stuck in 80s and 90s.

Grimshaw at least had a semblance of independent thought, X Factor want yes men, and Louis is the ultimate lapdog.
