Advice needed. Goodmans freeview, remote question...

My old freeview box packed up, so i bought one today from Morrisons, reduced to £15 from £20.

Its scanned all the stations and is working fine, considering i have an indoor aerial still !

My question: to change channels i have to press the enter key in the middle and then toggle up and down to choose the channel i want and then enter again for it to go to the channel. See photo here of it http://i90.photobucket.com/albums/k2...926_193846.jpg

On my old freeview box i could go up and down with the arrow without having to press enter first and going through the list that way

So.....is my remote working correctly with full functionality [/b]? Or is this just the way it workd on this model of freeview with the remote ?

Model is: Goodmans gdb02tfv2

Any useful advice in response to my queries would be appreciated

What happens when you press the Ch- and Ch+ buttons on the remote?

I am such a wally

I had just come back on here to say id figured it out. They are small and on the bottom left of the remote, i hadnt noticed them and assumed that the arrow keys would be the ones to press, like on my last remote !

Thanks anyway. Sorted.

Freeview box seems reasonable for the money too, not that i watch much tv at all, but its handy to have,

There seems to be a bit of variation in which button labels are used and their location on the remote. Some use C or Ch while others use P for Programme and some just use up and down arrows without any lettering at all.

It's this kind of excitement that keeps me going.
